How is apologizing even appropriate? That would imply that she didn't really mean it or changed her opinion afterward because she realized that it was wrong, neither of which are the case, she meant it and still feels the same way. All it would be is making a person lie under duress, which is in itself inappropriate and immoral, kind of like forcing a hostage to make a false confession to something on video. A forced apology is obviously not really an apology, it would have to be her own idea, which it's clearly not. The media is completely misreporting this. The real issue is that Hamas went on a rampage that murdered 1200 people, including many children. This is undeniable because they actually filmed themselves committing these atrocities. Well aware of this, many pro-Palestinian people still proclaimed the Hamas attacks as the beginning of Palastine's "liberation" and then hit the streets in celebratory rallies and marches. Jama was spotted at one of these in the middle of the crowd. Whatever she wrote in her word salad statement days later is largely irrelevant because it's scripted and so doesn't reflect her true sentiments; he participation in the rally/march can only mean one thing.

Im her constituent. I actually read her statement and agree with it instead of just pretending she said a bunch of stuff she didn’t in order to silence her. She condemned Hamas. She condemns violence against innocents, both Palestinian and Israeli. I whole heartedly agree with that. I want us to stop sending money unconditionally to support war against a population of mostly children.
