Each time! Sarah Millican is so quick witted. Every time Richard Herring invites her he gets slashed and asks for more. She doesn't take prisoners when it comes to comebacks and it's always funny and obviously a game they like to play. It's a real pleasure to watch.

Seen Sarah Millican live a few times on tour, but honestly, I personally feel that her improvised takes are even better than her scripted shows. Great performer.

Sarah Millican is my spirit sister! I think the Queen (oops...I mean King) should make her a Dame!!!
@EleanorPeterson
@EleanorPeterson Жыл бұрын
Hmm... Actually, the reigning monarch doesn't get much of a say in it. There's a whole army of posh peeps who select and approve the annual lists of names for honours. Assuming you were being (mostly!) serious about getting Sarah made a Dame, the process starts with filling in a form (you can do it online), then finding lots and lots of people who agree that your chosen candidate deserves the particular honour. Social media support carries no weight because it's so easily faked, so you need real people to send in real letters of support. If it's a major celebrity being nominated, or a pop star, or a famous actor, writer or sports personality, or the Chairman of the Bank of England, then the selection process almost runs itself because there's no need to generate favourable publicity. But if it's a comparatively unknown local person like a shopkeeper, a charity worker, or a long-serving school crossing attendant (lollipop lady!) the proposer needs to be extremely good at organising things because thousands of names are put forward each year, and it's hard to make your voice heard, however worthy the chosen candidate. The Honours Awards Committee has to receive a number of old-school letters of support for your wannabe Commander, Knight or Dame. The more the merrier. Sadly, snobbery is alive and well, and if these letters come from famous or professional people - judges, doctors, MPs, teachers, solicitors, police or armed-forces officers - you stand a better chance of being taken seriously. Lots of unsuitable and undeserving people get nominated, and there are plenty of malicious, prank and fake applications, so it really is a minefield for 'ordinary' people. I know she's great, but in this instance Sarah would be seen as an ordinary person. Unfortunately, the system for the lesser awards (MBE and OBE) is now - allegedly - heavily skewed towards minority box-ticking and filling 'diversity' quotas, rather than simply rewarding merit, so many requests will be dismissed out of hand unless the Brit concerned has done something truly exceptional. Sarah is a brilliant comedian and a canny lass, but that's not enough to get her noticed these days, especially for one of the big honours. But there's no harm in having a go. If you don't ask, you don't get - so start organising!

Oh my - the difference when there's a stand up comedian as a guest. This kind of set up can feel so laboured - but her quick wit slices through the turgidity like a hot knife through butter.
