It's the rules of the shame game. Change the politically correct word every few years then shame people for not being up-to-date. Wolfenstein was accused of being the "PC left" for being anti-Nazism. This is what I see as the big danger today. The nomalization of extremism. We saw it with torture. Dick Cheney appears in mainstream news media as if his views are not extreme. We are heading toward a world where the center is somewhere between Nazism and anti-Nazism. The makers of Wolfenstein could not even imagine that their game would be received as a political statement. They are anti-Nazism, but they could not imagine that that is a controversial position. Nazis used to be seen as easy, if not lazy, stereotypes for evil. Nobody took Nazis serious only a few years ago.
