The Seattle grunge scene was so impactful on 90s culture

This has proven to be the BEST UNPLUGGED SONG ever performed on MTVs Unplugged. Pearl Jam is one of the best bands ever. EDDIE VEDER IS AN ABSOLUTE BEAST. HIS VOICE IS AMAZING. THE WAY HE SANG THIS SONG WAS JUST SUPERIOR TO ALL OTHER MALE VOCALIST WHO WERE ON UNPLUGGED. THE WAY HE SINGS THIS SONG IS JUST AWESOME. STILL THE BEST PERFORMANCE EVER BY A BAND.

That line always punches me in the heart too. "I know someday you'll have a beautiful life, I know you'll be a star in somebody else's sky but why (why, why) can't it be mine?" Unrequited love might be the worst kind of hurt 😢

What also really touches down on me is how in this performance, his band mates as brothers we're & still are behind him all the way...to make it thru each emotions in every vocal expression of all the words strung together as one. They all gave their utmost to this message Eddie was needin to transcend & carried well.

Did he just skip over some lyrics
@shannonpendleton78652 жыл бұрын
Yes, he skipped the line all she gave me was all she wore. He realized that, and opened his eyes and shook his head. Also, he blew the chorus intro after 1st verse, skipping to the words to the 2nd chorus intro. In his defense he was suffering a terrible head and chest cold and felt like death for this performance, and even with the mistakes this is considered one of his best performances of the song.
