First saw Duran Durn in the late seventies when I was stationed in England in the Navy before they made it big. Have loved them to this day. Lamya was a phenomenal singer. She was the best of their backup singers. They have had some good ones since but not on the same level as Lamya. So sad she passed so young. RIP Lamya I am glad they are still performing.

Yeah, you got it - emotionally falling apart (sadness, grief, etc) I've actually noticed other reactors asking the same things about the phrase's meaning… So i guess it could be a "regional" limitation, where only specific English-speaking areas use it (DD is from UK & I'm US). Or similar to generational slang, it could be a "time" limitation - so significant declines in people's use of a word or phrase (like in education, conversation, literature, etc), would cause a decline in the number of people learning/hearing it as they grow up…

@@michaelwheeling7422 I'm sorry if I missed it, but where are you from? That sounds amazing to have met someone who can teach you a language that's not commonly used. So cool! I love learning about animal behavior (including our-primate-selves); mainly psychology (individual minds), sociology (groups), & interpersonal interaction. Sadly, for me my health is gradually worsening bc of a genetic disorder: #EDS/#hEDS (most, even doctors, aren't familiar with it). So it's harder to concentrate while dealing with chronic pain, exhaustion, & other effects like brainfog; but I still love trying (even if I don't remember it all).

One of the classic 90’s songs. Kenyan born Lamya had an amazing voice so it was no wonder Simon brought her to the front here. She was just 20 here. Passed away at only 35 of a heart attack. A true talent lost too early. Til this day Simon Le Bon has an amazing voice in his mid 60’s. Come undone means the emotional pain when a relationship fails

This is one of those songs that make a listenr go back and re-listen to an artist. Duran Duran has their share of generic pop songs but this is one that stands out. This is why we have people like you Sarah to have a solid listen and react to understand and separate the 'wheat from the chaff'.

How many "Generic Pop songs do you have? Quite dismissive about a band who works hard at what they do and have made a career doing it for nearly 45 years. They have great songs and they are great musicians who have written powerful and impressionable and meaningful songs.

Lamya did sing on a track that came from the album Come Undone is on, Duran Duran (Wedding Album). She sang backup on the song titled, Love Voodoo. The equally as amazing voice as Lamya's is the beautiful voice of Tessa Niles. Niles is who sings on the album (and single) version of Come Undone. Niles has long worked on and off with Duran Duran from (1986-2004) on the following albums: Notorious, Big Thing, Liberty, Duran Duran (Wedding Album), Thank You and Astronaut. The gig is taken off MTV's Unplugged series that was very popular in the early mid 90's when a bunch of artists were asked to arrange their repertoire into an accoustic version. Luckily, Duranduran promoted their 1993 piece of art "Duran Duran" by a tour through Europe, and even more luckily I could see them in Hamburg' s Grosse Freiheit at "an accoustic evening with Duran Duran". Unforgettable. Will see them in London this May again! 😁👍
