One of the best live performances ever. They establish this mellow groove right away then play off that with these intense runs. Everyone is great, and Knopfler's sound on the guitar is totally unique, like hearing Miles Davis play trumpet, you know right away who it is. Wish there were more bands like that today.

Definitely my favorite live performance of all time. Mark Knopfler is one of the best guitarists you'll ever see, and this is him having a grand ol' time. Terry Williams is tearing it to shreds on the drums, playing his heart out. I always thought he was really trying his hardest here to prove he belonged, as he was fairly new to the band after the founding drummer, Pick Withers, had left. Alan Clark is wonderful on keyboards, and John Ilsey (bassiset) and Hal Lindes (rhythm guitar) are perfect support to Mark's genius. Glad you enjoyed it so much.

Love Dire Straits & had their records. They are a great British rock band from the 70's-90's. Mark Knopfler is one of the best guitarists around. "Sultans Of Swing " is one of their most famous songs. But they have had so many hits including "Romeo & Juliet", "Private Investigations", "Twisting By The Pool", "Money For Nothing", "Walk Of Life", "Telegraph Road", "So Far Away", "Tunnel Of Love", "Brothers In Arms" etc. They don't have a bad song.

I had long hair, since gone and you know its good when you're there, but now I see it again and it really was awesome! Terry Williams on the drums absolutely smashed it! At the second song we were ALL off our seats and ON our seats dancing.... "slightly" encouraged by mr Knopfler himself. After all they couldn't throw all of us out.
