The OBD2 or ALDL connector uses pin 16 for battery voltage and pin 4 for chassis ground. Many cars seem to share the battery feed with the cigarette lighter, aka, power outlet fuse.

I really enjoy following this Xterra series. I also like the step-by-step nature. You aren't finger snapping from used vehicle to blinged out 4x4. I thoroughly enjoy seeing well-used vehicles being restored back into regular duty. One of the things I enjoy most about your videos is the lack of "bro-ness" and that you show some of the "grunt" work that has to go into vehicle repair and/or restoration. It's very apparent the thought and preparation you put into the filming. No shaky, blurry, poorly-lit videography like a lot of the videos I end up watching when doing a brake job or trying to diagnose strange sounds that inevitably pop up.
