- Carbon ceramic brakes don't affect braking distance, they are meant for preventing brake fade as the brakes get hot. - Trunk height is adjustable. - Exhaust button actually opens a flap and uses a different ecu map for the pops and crackles.

I owned one of these for 3 years. Just sold it a month ago. Great car, not comfortable AT ALL if you plan on driving more than 10 miles, but surreal in handling and acceleration. Enjoy!

They actually pump engine noise into the cabin from the speakers in these cars. The road noise is intentional. Mercedes knows how to keep sound out. Love the review and the color 🙂

I'm pretty sure that spot in the center console for the key is a backup starter, not a charger, but that's just a guess

It probably does charge the key as well, assuming the key has an inductive pick up.

I would bet money on it beeing the backup start port. Owning an older Mercedes with "Keyless Go" i know they put something into the car so you can still start it when the battery of the key is empty. (I like the version in mine better where you just take out the start button and put the key there.) And as the opening looks still like the one i have in my car, the key might look the same too. And those keys have a Lithium button cell battery in it. (CR 2025 if i remember correct) Which is not chargable.

Nice to see you review a real performance car, didn’t think you’d be so kind to a Mercedes.. Lol You should start reviewing used AMG and BMW M cars, I think you’d be amazed at what is out there for the price, I mean back in 2003 an SL55 was making 493HP and 516 pound ft of torque... also the key holder in the center is for starting in case the key battery is dead as keyless go would not work..

Great video. Mercedes has been putting buttons and hazard light, and seatbelt lights on the roof for quite a long time. It's a Mercedes thing. I think they started doing that around the w124 phase. Maybe even sooner . My old benz had that.
