Also, "the freckle fad". I 100% agree with you. I grew up in the 80s (yep I'm getting old) and I was bullied relentlessly and occasionally beaten up for my red hair and freckles. I even found out after an eye exam that I have freckles on my retinas!! Now people WANT freckles so bad they're getting them tattooed onto their faces? The world just doesn't make sense.
@SarahRenaeClark Жыл бұрын
And they don’t believe anyone could have even bullied for them 🤷♀️
@genlisae Жыл бұрын
In my late teens it switched from straight bullying to older people (strangers) approaching me to tell me how my freckles were a sign of toxin build up in my skin and I should go see a doctor about them. I am still confused by this.
@IngunnWanderer Жыл бұрын
If it makes you guys feel any better, I wanted freckles BEFORE they became trendy :P I wouldn't tattoo them or anything, but I think they're cute. All my main characters in my early writing days would get freckles, just because I wished I could have some of my own. Whenever I watched people get bullied for them in movies and stuff, I just never understood why
@kali8921 Жыл бұрын
also the fact that people with natural freckles have them all over the body too not just the face, so its disappointing to see people go through expensive procedures to fit trends or only the 'attractive part' of freckles. its how i feel being asian and seeing the same people idolise the "asian eye look" that they made fun of me for
@adhdbookworm Жыл бұрын
I don't get people who wear glasses just because "they're cute," when most of us who grew up in the 90s and 2000's were bullied for it. It's nice how people are more accepting of these things, but boy the hypocrisy. 😢

You did such a great job creating a different array of art throughout each book and hats off to you for attempting and finishing all three books. I felt your pain. Seeing as though you like a challenge I have, a few years ago created some books and uploaded them to amazon KDP they are quite similar The first one"Create with Clouds" is where you draw what you see in the clouds on each page, The second one "Create with colour" is a similar concept, but with colours, and the third book is called PROMPT ME, and is a fun, relaxing book with lots of interesting prompts. So if your looking for another prompt book to challenge yourself I've got you covered, My name is Cathy Roberts, and I'm another avid Aussie Art Dabbler, and love getting inspiration from watching your videos. Thank you for your hard work and dedication, take care.

11:20 that’s going to be my theme tune from now on 😂❤ *edit at the end, I think it was more of a psychological exercise than an exercise to make great art and/or something “to be proud of”. You had fun, made a video and kept me -a hideously judgemental and easily bored/distracted art (and everything else) procrastinator- not just watching the whole way through but also entertained and inspired. So imo you definitely did a lot to be proud of. 🎉😘

Hullo Sarah, thanks for sharing a lovely video with us! You attempted a very difficult series of tasks and I am not sure the adherence to the time table was as necessary for creating your best art but then that was not the reason for this video, eh? I am hopeful that you are going to go back and finish the undone pages. I also believe that you have a whole lot to be proud of in this experiment! I enjoyed watching and I do look forward to watching your next video! See ya then!

It would be fun to see you do a challange like simmers* do, and let chance decide if you'll have 1 or 3 or 5 or maybe even a jackpot of 10 minutes per page. You can also plan before you know the time you'll have for added drama. *simmers = people who play The Sims series. I like the building aspect of the game the most - from a basic floorplan, though furniture styles to color and pattern maching. Now thinking, I would love to see you build - beginner mistakes and all.

Not the mixing, because it depends so much on the medium you are using and what colors you have available. It does have the CMYK numbers though, so you could use this a starting point.
