I think the foundation only went viral because it is a cheaper version of the Chanel . I’ve only seen one positive review of the cover girl. I have the Chanel and one tip is you have to break up the pigments before putting it on your face. Some people break it up with a brush on the back of their hand but I prefer to put it on my fingers and rub my fingers on both hands together then apply to my face. Try that! You’ve sold me on the mascara. The eyeshadow looked great when you first applied it. Maybe it will work for shorter days. And I loved the lip combo! I gave up on primer. I’ve tested so many on half my face and never see the difference. But, the first thing I thought with that Milky primer is how it would mess with sunscreen, I totally agree with you!

Honestly I’ve seen quite a few positive reviews for the covergirl. One consistent thing i did notice was ppl who got shades that are too light hated it while ppl who got shades their skin tone or darker liked it although i dont think the love loved it just liked it.

I tried the clear NYX brow gel. I didn't like it. The only thing I did like was the size of the brush. It didn't take long for that product to become gloopy and stringy. What I've been using is the smallest tube of Got2Be hair gel with the Elf's double end applicator. As long as you don't use to much it keeps your brows put. I remember when those no budge pots came out. I couldn't wait to try them but I could never find them in store. Everyone who reviewed them loved their performance. I'm so glad I never bought one. I'll stick to the sticks because those really don't budge on me. I picked up that mascara from Makeup Revolution. Not a fan. It didn't flake or transfer but it also didn't give my lashes that fluttery look with 1 coat. I don't need much from a mascara so when I saw your review I thought it would be perfect. Nope. That brush is far too big. I rarely get mascara anywhere but on my lashes but that was not the case with that one. I had so much to clean up on my lower lashes the most. It's going back. Back to my tried and true Maybelline great lash. I know a lot of people don't think that mascara is worth the hype it got all those yrs ago and since but it's never not performed for me 🤷‍♀️ Ugh, can't believe I forgot the one product I LOVED. I bought that color corrector in the same shade a few weeks ago. I finally got to use it yesterday. Omgee. It's amazing how brightening it is. I was so close to not applying concealer because it did such a great job but I did. It played nicely with the concealer and under eye powder I use. It's a good one... 👍

My tip for the Covergirl is to rub it between your fingers first and then apply it like you’re a man washing his face. You know the way they haphazardly and aggressively rub around with both hands? 😂 Really go for it and work it in. I usually finish with a sponge to take down some of the tackiness and then go in with concealer and top with the Kosas Cloudset powder.

I bought into the hype of the Covergirl Essence and I regretted it. When I first tried it out, I applied it with a brush and blended it out on my face like you did. It looked so patchy. Then attempt I tried pumping it onto my hand and then bursting the beads with my fingers and discovered it never fully mixed well together into a solid color. I don't get it either!

From my understanding the best way to wear that foundation is without other makeup, like on a no makeup makeup day. It doesn’t seem to play well with others but is nice to even skin tone on its own.

The elf liquid blush in Peach perfect is my everyday go to right now. Love it and it lasts throughout the day with no issues or fading etc. Looks great on you! You are reminding me pull out my elf pink powder 😊 I agree the NYX brown gel is much better Every review I see of the CG foundation makes me happy I skipped this one. The mascara looks great on you!

I’ve been using the elf no budge eyeshadow as an eye primer and have had no issues with creasing. I def put a fair amount of shadow over it so maybe it works better being set with a powder?

Out of all of the tinted brow gels I find that the Catrice one has the nicest hold and colour at the same time, great price of well. Hopefully you can get your hands on it in the US as well!

The Elf Halo Glow Pink Setting Powder is my holy grail undereye powder. I have the Elf Camo Liquid Blush in Suave Mauve and I love it! You only need the smallest amount, it blends out beautifully and it lasts all day. I think I need to try the NYX Pro Fix Stick in pink when I run out of my Elf Putty Color-Correcting Eye Brightener in Fair.

I’m curious how the elf no budge eye shadow works as a base for powder eyeshadow! Also I haven’t tried the covergirl tint but maybe try mixing the foundation before putting it on your face? Idk if that would help but worth a try haha! Thanks for keeping your try ons so real ❤

I could not make the cover girl foundation work. I tried putting it on my hand and bursting the beads first and it never mixed together and hung on to dry patches. I love the elf blushes because they have the dewy finish.

I have tried the Ilia in a mini sample, it flaked so much, but maybe it was old. The Cover Girl looks closer to the Chanel Touch corrector rather than the Eau de Teint, the latter just doesn't build up like the corrector does. I love cream shadows, they do have a bit of an overboard limit, we tend to pile them on and the formula doesn't really set well as a thin layer would. The formula has to be amazing for that to work, I think Asian brands do them better than western.

I've yet to see a good review of this foundation. I love the elf shadow color. Elf's blushes are great they are so pigmented and last. Love seeing some new makeup reviews but not over consumption.

I feel if you like the covergirl foundation, you may want to go a shade or two darker because the current shade kinda washes you out… I had this issues with high end foundations lately.

I love that mascara. I can share that I have tried the full size and the travel size and found that the travel size doesn’t perform as well. The brush is a workhorse.

I was hoping that elf shadow would hold up better. Question for anyone who has this issue. I apply sunscreen to my eyelids, but obviously that breaks down my makeup. How do people deal with this? I use primers, I set things, but I still struggle with oily lids.

I have this problem too, especially with more emollient sunscreens. Usually my eye primer does the trick, but if that's not helping then your best bet would probably be to use a mattifying spf on the eyelids!

That elf blush stays on me for about 3 seconds. I like how it looks but it wears off so fast. Next time I'll just get the one from rare beauty. Edit: And I don't want to use primer! I don't have time to put on anything besides my serum and sunscreen in the morning and my spf works for every product I use and other blushes look great on it and actually last.

Hey lady! Those potted elf no budge eye shadows suck.. the only way to get them not to crease is to pack a lot of powder eyeshadow on top.. and with that I say.. forget the potted eyeshadow. It just becomes an unnecessary step and I'll just use a powder eyeshadow to begin with. Oh well, they can't all be winners. Have a nice week! ❤

Did you try the matte eyeshadow sticks ? I tried lava lamp (the lime green), and it's slippery & remove itself if I tried to build it up ! BUT when it's set, it's not budging 😮 👏 Did any of you experience this ? I want to try more shades because, in my mind, maybe it's only the green , but this experience is holding me back
