When I find silver, copper or brass items, I polish them up and they turn out stunning! I realize some people like the patina, but once you see their beauty shine through, it gets addictive to see the transformation. I use brass and silver polish and they shine and gleam!

I love the champagne bucket. I've been looking for one reasonably priced. Back in the day I've would be placed in the bucket with the bottle of champagne on top of the ice. Then it would be placed on a small table next to the dining room table with a napkin tired around the neck of the bottle and a linen towel would hang from one of the handles. I love most of what you thrift from the junky thrift shop. The prices are always great to. Take care Sarah.

@@SarahsOctoberHome I've seen them used as kitchen utensil caddies. Plant holders... Like a green fern or poinsettia for the holidays. You can put chicken wire in it to hold a big Rose bouquet. Towels stuffed in them in the bathroom. Options unlimited. Have fun😊

I love, love, love the Champaign bucket!!! My favorite piece in your haul and the plant in it for styling is also gorgeous! Also love the frame and cutting board, turned riser for your lovely display of your clotch. I've said this before, but you are SO fortunate to find the pieces you do at such prices. In WI, where I'm from, if I had been able to find a champaign bucket, it would have been at LEAST 25.00 or more. Our best bets are rummage/estate sales for those bargains where I live. Our thrift stores are REALLY out of line on pricing. 😥 It's seriously ridiculous when you see dollar tree items that sold for 1.00 being marked up to 1.98 or more. I also love that you let your girls express their individual styles. ❤

I love the ice bucket the most but it really is about what makes you happy. I’ve never used oven cleaner on furniture, only on the oven 🤣. I just saw a video on Instagram where a lady said do not use oven cleaner for furniture because the chemicals leach into the wood and it is dangerous. I use oven cleaner to strip wood, I thrifted a table that someone had painted it in gloss paint oven cleaner did an amazing job getting it off.
