This video is giving me all the cost vibes I need on this rainy morning ❤️ I am not vegan, but have been adding in more plant based meals to my daily routines. My husband is interested, but just always craves adding meat! I'm definitely trying this curry for dinner. I love how Sarah's recipes don't try to replace our just leave out animal products, but feature other ingredients. My husband and I grew up in households that cooked (which is amazing), but always had meat, potato, vegetable. It's a tough routine to break when you are trying to incorporate more plant based meals. Your channel has made me a much more adventurous cook, thank you ☺️

For the microwave try airing it out in the sunshine for a few hours with the microwave door open.

Ah, microwave smells. We had the same problem but ours smelled strongly of beef stew. We tried a bunch of things. Storing a plate of ground coffee in it covered the smell (do not turn it on while the plate is inside. The coffee will start burning. We tried that for you). What did seem to help a little was storing a plate with baking soda in the microwave. What really did help was... Time. It just vanished after two or three month. So yeah, we didn't find an easy way out :(

Enjoy the unusual sunny weather while it lasts. I have lived in the PNW my whole life and can't remember an October this warm. I enjoy "fall" weather but the neverending rain gets to me sometimes.
@Chrissy42812 жыл бұрын
I add lemon to a bowl of water and run that for about 5-10 minutes on high to do a normal cleaning of my microwave and it really rids it of food odors. That may do the trick. Also try neutralizing it with a paste of baking soda and water; just let that sit for a while I guess then wipe clean. It’s funny that her “house smell” seeped into the microwave. TFS your cozy meals; Fall for me always call for some sort of pumpkin treat and a curry. I usually do a red lentil and sweet potato one. 🤗❤

Going to try your curry and cookie recipes and I'll let you know how they came out. If you have an instant pot and food processor, it is so easy, cheaper and tastier to make your own pumpkin puree. You can even leave the skin on (minus the stop and bottom stem) and it adds to the colour and bulk of the puree. I just wash the outside of the pumpkin before I cut it up.

Not sure about the... fragrance, but I know oil is a good carrier of scents. Maybe give a slightly oily rag a few minutes in the microwave and it'll absorb some of the aroma? Just keep an eye on it, I guess. Not sure if it could start a fire or not. 😬😄

lmao this is too funny. great catch. we only used the old, dinged-up pot because it was the right size for the curry. it’s hard to film when the pot is too big for the food. in normal life, it makes no difference, but for filming it’s a pain. - Eric
