On April 6, 1945, Sarajevo was liberated "through the joint efforts and sacrifices of Sarajevo's patriots - of all religions". On this same day, April 6, 1992, Sarajevo once again needed its citizens and patriots to liberate it once again.
Isa-beg Ishaković is considered the founder of the city of Sarajevo, and the city itself was built by the natives. Built at the crossroads of Roman roads, the city was born, which even then was a crossroads of cultures and religions, and after more than 500 years it remains so.
And because of such specificity, Sarajevo suffered many adversities in its history. One of the biggest is the campaign of Eugene of Savoy, who at the end of the 17th century looted and burned to the ground Sarajevo, which was then one of the largest cities in the Balkans.

06. aprila 1945. godine, "zajedničkim naporima i žrtvama sarajevskih patriota - svih religija" oslobođeno je Sarajevo. Na ovaj isti dan, 06. aprila 1992. godine Sarajevo je opet trebalo svoje građane i patriote da ga još jednom oslobode.
Osnivačem grada Sarajeva smatra se Isa-beg Ishaković, a sam grad su izgradili starosjedioci. Napravljen na raskrsnici rimskih puteva, nikao je grad koji je još tada bio raskrsnica kultura i religija i nakon više od 500 godina to i ostao.
I zbog takve specifičnosti, Sarajevo je u svojoj historiji trpilo mnoge nedaće. Jedna od najvećih je pohod Eugena Savojskog, koji je krajem 17. vijeka opljačkao i do temelja spalio Sarajevo koje je tada bilo jedan od najvećih gradova na Balkanu.
