Besides the exercise benefits, I find that walking outside gets me out of the dense fog of normal, high pressure life. I can think clearly and solve a lot of problems just by getting out of the house and walking around. I can only imagine what hiking on mountain trails does for you!

You're an inspiration, Sara. I've never seen someone so dedicated to their book share their journey. It's really awesome to see. Big request: Any chance you can do a video that talks about what you changed between drafts (generally speaking). And any advice you'd give yourself to past!sara in each of those stages? I think that would be such a cool video to see all the growth and lessons learned through your hopefully debut novel. Look forward to reading this when you publish it.

For me it's pillows. If mine is too soft or too low, I wake up with a stiff neck. I use a stack of folded blankets for firmness and height adjustability.

Yeah I am not a believer of chiropractors. Go with the massage next time. Your hiking always makes me want to go outside and hike, but I definitely don't have your views. I'm in the Chicago area. I'm also not really in the best shape, but I'm hoping to do a bit of hiking this summer maybe walk some trails we have nearby or perhaps I might be able to get adventurous and try one of the Parks like Rock Cut. Idk, we shall see. Congrats on your continued progress with your Draft 7.

Sorry to hear about your neck! If going to the doctor is not an option, you could try having some B complex vitamins. I've been prescribed that for pinched nerves in the past, so it could help. Energy drinks like monster and the like have that vitamin blend, so maybe you could give it a try that way. I've also used some over the counter desinflammatories like Ibuprofen. Hope you feel better soon! It's really cool to hear about your editing process. I'm really pumped up for this book so I hope it all goes well! 🙌

I don't know what I doctor could do for it :/ I have an appointment with a myofascial release specialist who might have the best chance at helping me out with something like this. B vitamins... that's an interesting idea, I'll have to look into that. Thank you for your suggestions!
