How about instead of the dropover use apple notes? it could work similarly and if you hover over the lower right corner it shows a quick note that even automatically adds the link you’re in.

Step 1: Install Parallels. Step 2: Create a linux Virtual Machine and feed it all the cores and ram except what is necessary to run Parallels. Step 3: Set MacOS to open your Linux VM fullscreen every time MacOS boots. Step 4: set a News Alert for a Howto on installing Linux on bare metal on the specific Mac device you own.
