I just recently got into Amphibia and I love it. At first I thought I was going to hate it and I sort of did because when I saw promos for the show I didn't enjoy it I thought it was just going to be a stupid kid show about a girl and some frogs I didn't give the show a chance which sucks on my part but I eventually started to watch it at the start of this summer since I got bored but I've watched both seasons and I LOVE IT!!!! I love Anne as a badass girl character and as cliche as it is I do like strong female characters. Amphibia and The Owl House are my newest tv shows to watch that bring the hype that Gravity Falls did for me back then.

I'll admit that I didn't love season 1. I really enjoyed it but overall, it felt like it wasn't moving forward and that was my main issue. If it didn't tease an overarching story, I would be fine with this dark-humor filled slice of life show but it did. I felt annoyed when they did so because usually what came after were admittedly funny, charming one-off stories but nothing really made the story go forward. I feel season 2 is much, much better because I actually felt like every episode was moving the story along and that allowed me to enjoy the episodes much more. I hate to compare it to Gravity Falls but I really love Gravity Falls because even the filler episodes expanded the world in great ways and I feel like Season 2 of Amphibia has the same effect but instead of expanding the world, it always feels like the story is progressing forward. Even when they're back at Wartwood, it doesn't really feel like the story is pausing for a breath and I personally love that about the season. It's fun to see the world of Amphibia through episodes 1b - 5b. Newtopia is a great setting for episodes 6 - 10b. Even though I said that the season doesn't take a breather, episodes 11 - 13a are a fun set of episodes that are clearly meant to be the calm before the "storm" but it doesn't break the flow of the season, still feeling like we're going forwards. 13b is a nice episode to lead into the temples storyline. Episodes 14 - 19b have a good mix of plot heavy episodes and fun filler that still feels like a natural progression through the plot and.... True Colors... Is True Colors. It's action packed, dramatic, and the perfect conclusion to season 2. I'm not sure if it's my favorite episode since I only just watched it like 1 hour ago but it's probably the best episode of the series (so far...). Overall, I loved season 2. It's pretty much the perfect season for Amphibia. If season 3 is anything like this one, it's gonna be amazing. I can't wait to "leap" into this world again when it premieres!

When Amphibia first came out I hated it and thought it was boring and cliche but when I saw the frog of the year episode and watched The Quar Anne tine episode again I started to fall in love with the show a lot. And supported it through out season 1 and than when season 2 came along I was even more hyped. Why do people always feel the need to bring up the Owl House whenever they're trying to praise Amphibia? I wouldn't even be weirded out by it if Amphibia fans brought up other shows like Ducktales or Infinity Train from time to time, but for some reason it's *always* the Owl House. You guys could argue that the reason why those two shows are always being compared so much is because they aired at around the same time, but ATLA and Teen Titans aired around at the same too but they never got compared like this. Same with Adventure Time and Regular Show, or with Gravity Falls and Steven Universe. Amphibia fans always seem to have this one-sided rivalry with the Owl House and it's kinda hilarious ngl. Like, for a group of people who love saying that they like Amphibia more than the Owl House, y'all don't seem to act like it. Love Amphibia tho, but I'm just pointing it out there

And you argued that the reason why the two shows are getting compared so often is because they have similar backgrounds and premises. But how come it's always the Amphibia fans comparing and never the other way around? I mean, it would make sense if this was a "Amphibia vs. The Owl House" video or a "Which new western animated show is the best?" video. But the Owl House wasn't even mentioned here man, why do people always bring it up whenever Amphibia is the topic? Are those two shows just synonymous with each other now? I disagree with the implication that the season did a "meh" job of building Sprig's relationship with Anne. Most of the cracks and bends of their friendship was hammered away at and reinforced in Season 1, and S2 we get to see the benefits of Anne's First Healthy Friendship Trademark. Sprig is excited to share with Anne the techniques of hunting. In the same episode it's Sprig she hallucinates when she's desperate for help. Sprig Anne and Polly all work together splendidly when sniping in that one ep. In the truck stop episode they're seen working together, though the ep is more about the family's relationship to Polly. It's Sprig that Anne talks to about when she discusses her anxiety at not having seen Marcy all her trip. Sprig is the one who tries and helps Anne when she's feeling inferior to Marcy (no thanks to HP and Polly, being hilariously insensitive) Not even counting that sad ending, Sprig and Anne work well together in the super dangerous Hopping Mall challenge Sprig and Anne have their own handshake when they say goodbye by the end of the aquarium episode. I think it's cute that they're hanging out together in their cameo in the Marcy and Maddie episode.
