8 years ago, MrPonta5 achieved the World Record for HUNK on Waterworld on the Wii version and since then no one has been able to beat it. Until now.
After countless restarts and strategy alterations, I finally had a eureka moment when I realised what had been preventing me from breaking the 180k barrier. This is so far my greatest RE4 achievement to date and I'm very happy with how it turned out.
That being said, this should've been 184,200 as the axe thrown at me just as the 2nd chest began meant I had one less kill in the chest. Also, had my aim been better in the last chest then this could've been 184,500. Maybe one day I'll set a new record for HUNK on Waterworld, but for now this will do nicely.
A huge thanks to the God of Waterworld, dxm8975, who probably has a headache from explaining Waterworld's spawning and for me to still not understand it, but I think this proves some of it is starting to sink in.

Thanks ^^ I don't have Waterworld fully understood yet, but the key to this run was the archer I kill at 60. He's there at around the 40 mark but if I kill him early, he'll spawn again and that will mess up the run. WW is a legit headache lol

Instant kill always happens, the axe is what made me lose that one kill. But oh well, it proves a 30 chest is possible for HUNK if things go well. And thanks ^_^

Hi Sarco :) I already saw your score on google sheet, but had never watched an entire run, great work and congrats, mate ! 😄 I'm glad that all your hard works finally paid off and managed to get the highest score with the character. In my 206300 video I wrote a detailed explanation as to the spawnings on the stage in your reply, I needed to think for a certain amount of time to illustrate how the spawning works on WW, but now you can finally go check that out. Hopefully you would give it a look. 😉 (Btw I'm more than flattered to be mentioned as "god" over here..... :-p)

Thanks ^^ There was a lot of frustration involved and about a hundred restarts, due to the 1st chest not working right, or the 2nd Sal killing me etc. I reckon 186k is possible with HUNK, as my best 1st chest with him was 36 and I think 30 is possible in the 2nd chest with him too. So I may increase this score some day, but for now I'm going to focus on getting 200k with Wesker. And I shall take a look at your explanations and hopefully I'll finally understand what I'm doing wrong. Well, you are a God :P 206,600 is an insane score and an insane run and it feels like you're the only one who actually understands this crazy map lol

@@Sarcosuchas yesterday I played the stage with Hunk and I had a problem with the Super Salvador, you can stun him basically by shooting his head, but sometimes he doesn't stop at all and he goes straight to me to kill me. The bonus are still okay but the Salvador is the thing that annoys me terribly due to Hunk's poor firepower, so hopefully I can deal with him with no problem more consistently. As for the chests, in the first chest I think it's easier to get more kills than with Ada thanks to the grenades he has(somewhere around 36 or 37?), though it's a better choice to save at least one(or two) grenades for the 2nd Super Salvador, if you want to spawn the extra wave of ganados for all the 3 spawning areas close to you when fighting against the Salvador. The 2nd chest I have still no clue, but if you use enough grenades it's doable to attain 30 kills imo. In the final chest I think you can get somewhere around 24~25(or possibly 26) as you say, if you could take out the 2nd floor/top floor ganados smoothly, but for this you also need to use some grenades to save your time during the chest. Also you can instantly explode the TNT ganado if you shoot his dynamite, I think this can also be of a help if you want to get more kills in the final chest. :-) If you could get 36-30-25 kills in the 3 chests and managed to eliminate 143 ganados without breaking your combo or accidentally killing someone before you grab a bonus time you should be able to get 187,000 instead(156 kills + 100 chest kills = 202,700. Getting 143 kills with 100 chest kills means you earn 13,000 less points than the 202k score (189,700), and killing 91 enemies in total in 3 chests means that you get 2,700 less points from the chest kills (9×300) indicating that you get 187,000 in the end (189,700 - 2,700 points)), but either way it's a great score if you take into consideration that it's much harder to kill everyone in time with him. :)

With the exact same strategy that people normally play with I'm really not as good as some "real" top players/skillful players who can all the same obtain exceptionally good scores with that given strategy/condition, or those who can get a great score with every character with different weaponry, and I can easily go panicky when things go in a way that I didn't expect before at all or when I use the weapons I didn't use much before, so in my humble opinion I'm nowhere near as good as those players that are much more "versatile" than me, but if you think I can be that good so as to be called a "God", well I take it as a compliment. Personally I wasn't interested to go for an exceptionally high score that can be on a par with a WR score or that score that can draw people's attention, but I wanted more that people would appreciate my own gameplay style no matter what the score is, so in that regard I'm happy that you (apparently) appreciate what I have done in the game. ;)

- and gameplay-wise 1, In the 2nd chest you have to toss your grenade upwards toward the cabin in the west more to the left side(to the direction where you have a wooden barrel with 1st aid spray) to kill the RL ganado inside. It's an idea that I took from Ubercapitalist's 210200 TAS run, and with this you can save quite a lot of time in the chest kills. 2, In the final chest you can toss your grenade below the stairs but more to the left side - through the opening between the pillars/handrails on your left side rather than on your right side by the floor. with Hunk I guess you can still play that way, but with Wesker you can save a lot of time in doing away with 3 ganados on the 2nd floor of the topfloor spawning area(TNT, axe, and archer in grey vest), and it's pretty important to do if you want to kill all the 156 enemies on the map with him. .... other things I realized, but not to offer you something to say. 1, I was excited to see that at the start of the 1st chest you combined my 41 kills chest strat to shoot 2 explosive barrels on 1st/2nd floor of the hut. With Hunk you can easily farm the kills with them I suppose. 2, I'm glad that you used that Ubercapitalist's trick to toss a grenade toward the cabin to kill the RL guy inside the building, just as I did in my 38 kills strat with Wesker. 3, just before you break your second combo it's better to kill the stun baton ganado on the right side rather than the hooded ganado by the zipline on top floor. That way you can spawn the 2nd archer much easier and much faster. ;-) 4, and one more thing to note - it looked like the left handed archer by the red barrel below the terrace noticed you just as he respawned the second time (?), at 8:01, just as it happened in your 196100 run with Wesker as well..... When that happens it's IMPOSSIBLE to kill that archer from around the stairs and he won't be grenaded by a grenade toss downstairs during the chest, which makes it way harder to get a good number of kills in the chest AND to spawn and defeat all the 156 ganados on the stage. On PS4 (and PS3) version it rarely happens, but I've seen that occur already twice on your version. Is that more common on steam 60fps version ? Oo

@@derinse772 Yeah, Super Salvador has TMP resistance, so it won't do as much damage or stun as it normally would. The trick is to shoot him before he is swinging, keep aiming for his head and maybe use a grenade to damage him a little more. If you throw a grenade right, you can knock him over. For me, the trickiest part of dealing with him is the other ganado attacking me. Yeah, my best 1st chest with HUNK has been 36 but it wouldn't surprise me if 37 was possible. The 2nd Salvador is the most frustrating part of a HUNK run though. With enough grenades, I'd say the 2nd chest is a case of throwing grenades wherever there's more than one ganado. Though it'll largely be dependant on whether you can gather 17 for the start of the chest or not. This run technically netted me 28 kills in the 2nd chest, so 2 more shouldn't be too difficult. Hmm, for the 3rd chest, if you have enough grenades, you could use one to kill the red bandana guy, thus freeing up some time to kill the black mask and platform archer. That's true. I'll have to keep experimenting with HUNK to see how far I can really push it. With any luck, getting more than 143 kills with him should be possible.

@@prasms4529 My character guides for 60k can show you. But he spawns relative to your position. One always spawns at the very beginning. If you're on the tower, he's below you. If you're inside the building, he's inside the other building; and if you start outside, he's in the L shaped building by the bonus chest. The 2nd Salvador spawns at 30 kills and will appear from the other side of the map from where you are, usually inside one of the buildings.
