साहित्य | Ingredients
सारणासाठी |For stuffing
• साजूक तूप २ टेबलस्पून |Ghee 2tbsp
• बेसन १/२ कप | Besan ½ cup
• ओल्या नारळाचा चव दीड कप |Scraped Fresh Coconut 1.5 cups
• बारीक चिरलेला गूळ १ कप | Chopped Jaggery 1 cup
• वेलची पूड १/४ टीस्पून | Cardamom pw ¼ tsp
• दूध पावडर १/४ कप | Milk pw ¼ tsp
कणकेसाठी | For Dough
• गव्हाचे पीठ १ कप | Wheat flour 1 cup
• मैदा १ कप | All purpose flour 1cup
• तेल २ टेबलस्पून | Oil 2tbsp
• हळद १/४ टीस्पून | Turmeric ¼ tsp
How to make Olya Narlachya Polya Recipe | How to Make Coconut Purampoli
To make dough -
• Into a mixing bowl take wheat flour, maida, salt & turmeric & make semi soft dough like we make for chapati
• Apply some oil & knead for 2 mins
• then cover the dough with a lid and let it sit for 30 mins
To Make Puran / Saran -
• Heat up ghee into a heavy bottom kadhai, add besan & sarute for 3-4 mins on low flame then take the roasted besan out in a plate
• Then add some ghee & add scraped fresh coconut & roast it on low flame for 2-3 mins to remove excess moisture from it
• Then to the roasted coconut add roasted besan & mix them well for a minute
• Then add chopped jaggery to it, & saute for 3-4 mins
• Then add milk pw & saute for 1 more min to mix it well to the mixture
• then add cardamom pw, mix well & turn off the flame
• Allow the saran to cool down completely
How to roll Naralachi poli -
• Our dough is soaked for 30 mins, apply some oil and knead really well for 4-5 mins, apply oil while kneading
• Once you ger soft dough, make equal sized balls like we make for chapati
• Our saran is also ready, make equal sized balls of stuffing also
• Once done, take one dough ball, dust into wheat flour or maida, make bowl size shape, put stuffing ball into it, apply some flour to the fingers, & close the edges to seal the dough
• Once done, dust some flour, make it flat, & then roll the puranpoli, keep it slightly thick than regular puranpoli
• Once done, heat up a tawa on med heat, apply some ghee or oil, put ready poli onto the tava
• Flip the poli after a few seconds, apply some ghee roast from other side completely
• then flip & roast remaining side of the roti
• Apply ghee onto the hot coconut poli & enjoy.
