I'm sure Mark 'Billy' Billingham mentioned that a lad wanted to jack when they were deep in Jungle. The DS couldn't take him back so they said you're here now so you might as well push on so he did & did well once he got his head focused. However they failed him any way 🙂

I was in the Malaysian jungle with 1RNZIR 81 83 I know what your saying Phil one thing being close to the equator no magnetic variations black as at night then the noises definitely a experience

I'm 18 how do I join the army . I'm not fit but I play a bit of football . I've no qualifications can't keep a job down I've had 2 in the last 3 months. Things are a bit tempestuous at home any advice phil.

If you want to join HM Forces...start with fitness..the ability to run..not marathons..basic fitness.couple of miles a day..then check your times on that distance..next day beat that time..even if it's only a couple of seconds..small victories. I served 25 years in the Infantry
