The Russians are going to use him for propaganda, otherwise he'd be dead already since he at least from what it looks like already told them everything he knows and is of no use to them outside of generating propaganda claiming NATO involvement or blaming the Russian invasion on NATO expansion or some other complete bs people and politicians in the west are still dumb enough or ignorant enough to believe in or be scared of.

Couple of my friends went to the Ukraine ,they tried to convince me as we are Ex Infantry ,Im like NO fucking way ,Im, a 3rd gen Russian kiwi ,Im not going to die on some frozen stepp in the Ukraine ,2 no way can Ukraine cobbled together army can defeat the might of Russia ,not my war ,im happy to watch it on Tv while having a cuppa ,Both my friends were killed or MIA all for what ,both had families and kids that they didnt take into consideration with their choice ,both wasted their lives for nothing which is sad ,I would not wanna be that Brit in Russian custody at all, he will be off to the Black swan Prison in the frozen north after sentance which he will be found Guilty ,He will be surrounded by some real nasty Russian prisoners who will not welcome him with open arms and a cuppa for attacking Russia lol

The British Army had an humiliating retreat in Basra Iraq where the American troops had to come in and take over. My point is that our armed forces are under funded with our army being one of the smallest armies in Europe, our army needs funding desperately if we are going to compete with China and Russia.

Dont forget how Geneva convention describes Mercenarys as NONE POWs. as they get payed for it they loose their POW rights. They are legally allowed to end him in 2 seconds as a mercenary. He will be treated better than that but since he was captured inside their borders i think they will see it more harshly. If he gets sent to the Dolphin Prison hes not getting out, EVER but he will be alive but i dont think that would really be a win. But if he makes it past this conflict he should be very lucky boy indeed. It is what it is.

I don't believe he has a POW status, international mercenaries are considered to be terrorists.

Should never believe half the crap you’ll hear on video from any PoW be them Russian, Ukrainian or from Planet Mars. Should be very careful what’s said about the lad he’s in captivity You will always say what your captor tells you to say and this sounds like he’s telling them what they already know. The lad is a contracted soldier in Ukraine not a mercenary and it’s important that differentiation is made because the Geneva conventional applies to PoW’s.
