I've done the Valley of 1000 devils hike twice now. It is one of the most magical places that I've ever been to. And the best part is that there is very little tourist pressure. Banff is beautiful, but you are always shoulder to shoulder with thousands of other tourists. That's not the case in southern Saskatchewan. Definitely a great place for the introverted tourist.

It's true. It's a tiny park but one of our faves!

It's crazy to think that thinks like this have basically been in my back yard all my life. I definitely need to visit grasslands sometime soon! Great video!
@MustDoCanada5 жыл бұрын
Totally! I think it only gets 1200 visitors per year or so (Banff gets something like 4 million), so it's way better for getting away from the crowds.

@@MustDoCanada Exactly. Just a quick question, recreational use of drones at all Parks Canada places should be prohibited, how did you get allowed to use it. Unless it was for commercial drone use, and you got a permit. Thanks.

How about gas? I saw that east block is isolated and around two hours driving to west block. I want to see the badlands, but concerned about having enough fuel ⛽️
@MustDoCanada2 жыл бұрын
It is kinda isolated. However, once you're there, ther'es not much driving. Just one cool beautiful short highway. Otherwise, you go hiking mostly. So if you fill up before (like near West Block, or near Regina), you should be fine. It's only about 1 hour from gas

I have a practical question for you guys. How do you go about to have rights to fly a drone in those parks ? Would love to get some drone shots as well
@MustDoCanada3 жыл бұрын
You need to request permission from the national parks. Usually, you can find the contact on the respective parks page and go from there. It's not easy but smaller parks are typically easier. Banff/JAsper/etc are almost impossible. But you will need an advanced license and 2-5 million in liability insurance.
@alfredodejuan3905 жыл бұрын
Not bad place when looking to stay alone! Although it might be more difficult to enjoy the wild life than other places in Canada.

Real question. How did you get permission to fly the drone. I would like to do the same.
@MustDoCanada3 жыл бұрын
Once you have an advanced license and insurance, you need to reach out and ask Parks. I believe they charge a daily fee unless there’s some mutual benefit.

@@MustDoCanada Do you remember what department you contacted and if you don’t mind what was the fee amount? I was under the impression that it was quite difficult to get permission to fly drones in national parks.

@@leewarner8843 It can be for sure. The mountain parks are impossible. You have to contact the site directly and ask. It might depend on the project. We were doing it with Tourism Sask, which may have helped

Lol. Trudeau lies to Canada 🇨🇦 from the start. Cannot balance a budget, his ministry quits on him because unethical practises (SNC Lavalin), haven’t had national budget in 2 years, shuts down Canada number one exports mining, oil. Doesn’t care about a Canadians imprisoned in China. Yet you like him. Please leave Canada 🇨🇦 now. Canadians value truth, trust, freedom, integrity (Justin Trudeau liberals fail to represent any of those values).
