Sad thing is that the people that come to visit will destroy the property my father was from Saskatchewan I have proptery there and I live in Ontario be the falls and it is a dump area over priced for local people becouse of the visitors that come to see the falls gas is expensive, food, parking, etc...then all the garbage and damage that they do not worth it

I love living in a small, prairie town in SK! All the shots of endless fields and flat landscapes make me so happy, I never want to move away. I just feel too claustrophobic everywhere else. My family drove to PEI and Nova Scotia last summer and the whole trip I felt as if I couldnt breathe, until we got to Manitoba and the trees backed off and the land opened up. 😊
@MustDoCanada

PEI is also very open. I definitely prefer having trees around, but like a little bit of everything. Mountains are the winner though. or the beach.

I live in Arkansas and in the late 70's I worked for Bechtel Const Co and we built a natural gas pipeline north out of Regina up Hy 6 to serve that area. I Llived in a small village Duval, also Strasbourg and I must say I loved every minute of the job and the people I met there, Long Lake is lovely as is the rest of Saskatchewan. I loved the solitude and silence of the prairies. How I would love to return for a visit or to stay. You are blessed to live there,

Grasslands are a treasure, for sure. To be fair, Saskatchewan is fairly flat--where the main East/West road goes through. Get 10-20km off that road North or South and it all changes. Some of the best hunting and fishing in North America, too. Love this place and glad to live here.

great video. I was born in Saskatchewan and have lived in several towns in the province. I went back a few years ago for a year to work, and I quickly realized why I had never been back there since I left. I moved from Saskatchewan to the Yukon, then down to northern BC then down to southern BC. i'm a mountain man now. I could only go a month at a time out there working then I had to get back to BC for a long weekend to see the mountains again. and i'm in no hurry to go back again either. but if someone has never experienced it, it should definitely be seen, it's unique. other places that could have been included are Lake Diefenbaker, all the awesome grid roads, and Moose Jaw, where there are still tunnels under the city from Al Capone. actually, you could simply visit all the weird-named towns, like climax, elbow, eyebrow, cut knife, love and urin, just to name a few.

I was in Saskatchewan once for 5 minutes. We drove up from Glasgow AFB in 1974 (30 miles I think) and stopped at the border just to step across the line. There were no fences, walls or guards. Just more of the same as Montana. So that was the only time I was in Canada. Seemed nice.
@MustDoCanada

haha yeah, that's the flat part of both Montana and Sask too. I often wonder if it's still that easy to come across. But yeah, as you go North, you'll go through Badlands, moe prairies, and then the Boreal forest. Very sparsely populated.

Great presentation but on your next trip to Saskatchewan go a little further north into the Boreal Forest. It will remind you fo NW Ontario with the rock out crops and pure clear water in the lakes and rivers, but what is exceptional are the sandy beaches.

Good video. Southern half of Saskatchewan is agricultural, and oil/gas (little to no trees, rolling hills, and some very flat pieces mainly cereal, oil seed crops along with cattle). The Northern half Saskatchewan is Boreal Forest, hard rock Canadian Shield and a million beautiful lakes. Ninety percent population lives in southern half. Population of Saskatchewan is 1,000,000 and 2x size of Texas. Saskatchewan is outdoorsman dream. Hiking, camping, fishing, hunting. It’s all there.

I was born in Saskatchewan and still live in Saskatchewan. I have to admit I’ve fallen in love with the faraway city of New Orleans but I always sing the praises of Saskatchewan when I’m down south and invite anyone who’s tempted to come up from south of the border.
