RE: Lightsabres blocking lasers: In one of the old legends books (I think in the Thrawn trilogy) Luke described the act of deflecting blaster bolts as though the Force is showing him the path the bolts _WILL_ follow, so he just moves his blade to where they _WILL_ be. It's not speed, it's precognition

Great episode again. The behind the scenes and the challenge behind Sasuke Vs. Hiei was amazing to hear how the obstacle was overcome. Next, the Disney plan and CW's Infinite Crisis was a blast to talk about. How Disney will make with the Mandalorian is still up on the air, but the casting role for Infinite Crisis brings on more hype than Disney+. Lastly, the CoDB was a blast. The close poll was a great discussion as everyone was going back and forth how confusing the Force works. Would love this to be a Death Battle in the future. The next one was also a great one due to us, the community, getting to choose the next match up. Great episode overall, can not wait to see how the reviews will be next week. There are multiple small planet to planetary calcs in Naruto tho, so yes sasuke most definitely can destroy one. Whereas Hiei hasn't shown ANYWHERE near that amount of power. And no, the DB calc for yuske(which somehow scales to hiei)was not only inflated but the feat in itself is not canon 🤷‍♂️ Using non canon logic would mean that sasuke is universal based on his non canon game feats against kaguya🤦‍♂️

@@ganstarcj When has Sasuke ever SHOWN he's able to destroy planets? Not stated, not scaled, but actually demonstrably SHOWN to destroy planets? Kinshiki? Only STATED he can spilt worlds, never SHOWN. Toneri? Only spilt a moon not a much bigger earth size planet. The ten tails? Only stated to be able to destroy the world, never SHOWN. Even Kaguya expansive truth seeking orb was only stated to be able to destroy a dimension, never shown. Not that Sasuke scales to those characters anyway in terms of raw power and is only able to somewhat hold his own due to hacks. They both had to be scaled. Neither is SHOWN to destroy worlds. It's just that Hiei statement and lore put him comfortably in planetary, whereas whenever Sasuke fights any six path character stated to be planetary, he either loses, retreats, or waits for Naruto to get there.

I agree with you 100%. I just think the animation needs to be consistent with the research. For example: If Sasuke is faster than Hiei, then he can't lose via being speed blitz. But if Sasuke can't match Hiei in power, then he can lose via being overpowered. It doesn't matter if Sasuke can rip souls outta people if the end result of the Death Battle is the same. Maybe the argument has something to do with staying faithful to the source material. I remember in the Ben vs Green Lantern battle, Ben stated he was under the impression that people prefer nostalgia over seeing the newer cooler aliens.

Sasuke had an advantage of arsenal while hiei had an advantage of power. Reason why hiei won was mostly because he could counter most of sasuke's attacks (that being fire, lightning, and illusion).

As a Naruto fan, I hated sasuke, so the outcome didn't really bother me, plus I've matured enough to not care (for the most part) if my preferred character loses. That said, I still have some growth to do, and one of those ways I need to grow is why I personally won't be watching the one after ganon vs dracula, because (spoilers) battle of the sexes battles tend to frustrate me.

A question for the Q&A about power scaling, if it's not too late. How do you decide if one character scales to another? For example Sasuke might have fought Naruto to a draw at the end of Shuppiden, but wasn't it a case where Naruto was holding back? Wasn't Naruto still in the the "Sasuke will be my friend again if I drag him back to the village" mindset while Sasuke was outright trying to kill him during that fight? Doesn't that mean Sasuke may not be as fast, strong or durable as Naurto? (sorry for asking one question as four questions)

Redmimicry Well yes Naruto was holding back and didn’t use Boil release or had all his Truth seeking orbs so he was above Sasuke till they amped themselves but they’d still be on the same level or tier of power and speed. They can both be Moon or Planetary yet one be slightly above the other, same with speed. Not to mention that a guide book said Adult Naruto and Sasuke are equal anyways, so using them they scale to each other. I’ve watched Naruto multiple times, I Power scale, watch power scaling videos, and I’ve been talking to people in the discord vs community so I know my Naruto.

I will still say Tachibana Hibiki (Symphogear) vs Johny Cage (mortal Kombat) I dunno I can't exactly find many fights where I know enough about the other character to pit Hibiki against... my first thought was to suggest Akuma but then I remembered that would give Hibiki an unfair advantage since she knows how Akuma fights (she learned at least part of her fighting style by playing Street fighter)... so just go for Johny Cage since both are God slayers.

Dub and sub tell different stories in that the slight alterations in what was said originally is slightly changed in the dub but if you want accuracy def read the manga however as far as dub sub debate this is one of the few anime of all time imo that english dub is 100% the way to go

Yeah, Saint Seiya is just like that, most of the names mention planets, galaxies and stuff like that destroying, but in all honesty we never see anything to truly back that up. Sure there are some pretty visuals, but it's obvious they are just that, visuals. The only feats I could accept are the supposed velocity and speed of the attacks of some of the characters. After all near speed of light attacks are pretty common in most shounen.

Bruh they literally can obliterate existence into atomic particles. That is the basis of their power. Those attacks are THAT level of destructive but it speaks about the hardiness of characters that either get hurt or die but don't get pulverized. The attack is focused at one point instead of being unleashed all over. Saga's galaxian explosion can literally destroy planets and galaxies from another dimension and focuses that destructive power while controlling it. He's not called a man compared to a God for nothing. They are the most powerful shonen characters hands down in my opinion.
