My Electrician just fitted one of these. This video is very helpful. The "Chinese speak" user manual which comes with it is totally incomprehensible. The remote control phone app is also very poor and underdeveloped. That said, I have eventually worked it out and it seems to be functioning properly. But compared with the Hive gear on our central heating, this is still very second rate. You get what you pay for!

I know this is an old video, but have moved into a new home with one of these fitted and it was really helpful. Once you have reprogrammed the timer, should it automatically safe the new timings and temps? Mine seems to go back to defaul settings. Thanks

Allen, excellent videos!!! I would like your advice about a boiler. I am going to be building a new house with 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms and would like underfloor heating in the whole of the ground floor. I would like an invented hot water cylinder . What would be the best boiler to cope with this? You advice would be very much appreciated.

Hi Allen, do you know how to lock these thermostats? Now summer is here we have turned them off but don't want the public using our hall to be able to accidentally turn then on. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Allen, a very useful video, thank you. I assume this is the SAS920WHL-7. Does the fact that it is described as a floor heating control mean it is also suitable for a standard heating system? I'm upgrading from a basic non-programmable stat and this one looks like a good tidy unit.

Hi Allen, wonder if you could help. When I press the middle button to enable manual override, the thermostat lights up but manual override doesnt engage (and the little hand doesnt show). Also, if i hold the middle button in for a few seconds (Ive tried longer too) it doesn't change to the mode to set the on and off timer. has it been installed incorrectly?

Alan, I'm interested to what you set the thermostats to for your underfloor heating? I set mine to a programmable 5 day but it takes a very long time to heat the floor. Should I leave the thermostats on all the time on one setting?

I like thermostats timers that are two modes - an on-off thermostat or a timer. *1.* an on-off switch. *2.* thermostat only. *3.* timer. I noticed that when the on-off button was pressed it went to timer, then another button had to be pressed to get it to be only a thermostat. Going directly to the timer from on-off - is that the default?

John Burns go into the back settings and change it to any type of stat you like 👍

@@AllenHart999 Superb. 👍 People in many installations, mainly flats, do not use the timers. They want *simple* on-off thermostats with an on-off switch. But the regs say a timer must be fitted, so there needs to be a way of having the timer function not there when not needed.
