Demoed one last week and decided to buy the say setup 5500 1.3i and i love it. Consistent droplet size through the whole fan patterns blending metalics become super easy even the hard silvers never puts it on texture

Spot on. Love Sata, I have a Jet 90 and a older RP. I wish Sata was more affordable. I don’t think they are overpriced, they are worth the money. But I’m happy with my Teknas, Sata would have to make something industry changing for me to buy new. Plus most apprentice painters don’t start in Sata anymore like back when HVLP first became standardized.

well....my collection is 22 sata's so far...And I love them..Only Iwata I have is the LPH 80 and that is purely becuase of its ability for close control and hardly any over over spray.... But.....can I praise you for your down to earth, easy to follow, advice and you push out quality work...Keep it up m8 and all the best.

Tony may i ask why you put blending thinners on before paint thanks in advance
@TonysRefinishingTV5 жыл бұрын
Its not blending thinners its blending clear , basically clear paint we put down first that helps the laydown and blending of metalic paints its not always needed but comes in handy on awkward colours

Thanks. I have this gun. And its hit and miss for me. The rep said use it all open at 26.but with that recommendation On silvers it tends to mottled or not wet up evenly. So again thanks I'll try your settings tomorrow.
@TonysRefinishingTV5 жыл бұрын
lol sorry man thought you had asked that question on another video , ok so for the sata run the fan on full its great on full fluid i wouldnt run that on full mate itll be way to wet and thats where the mottle will come from in your silvers n high metalic colours , try opening the fluid about half way open and run it from 1.2 1.5 bar on tha air mate hope that helps

Hi tony, sorry for commenting old video post. I just tried out satajet x5500 today and with setting fluid 2 turn out, spray pressure 2bar, full fan, the clear spray out quite orange peely. Using Spralac MS clear, slow reducer and 10% thinner max. I tried out other gun and it spray out fine. Is it really sata spray gun really hard to use? First time trying it out and need advice on the gun set up. I have some test panel pictures and hopefully u can help out.
@TonysRefinishingTV3 жыл бұрын
So best way to set any gun mate for clear , full fan , 2.0 bar pressure 2 turns out , if it’s feels dry or slow add more fluid till your hit your sweet spot , we all paint different so tweaking it to your sweet spot is key
@ntonytay3 жыл бұрын
@@TonysRefinishingTV thanks for reply mate. Yeah guess it really need time to get used to sata. Its a good gun just Its really need time to tune up, i never quite full fluid turn during clear coat, as for sata, i think i will try 2.5 turn which is max fluid and see hw the clear goes. Been looking around for sata review video nw, some painter says high pressure 3.5 bar some low pressure ard 1.7bar. As u mentioned different painters has different settings, guess i will need to try out until the sweet spot.

£600 for a clear gun yes as its the final finish on the product , £600 for a base gun for me is out of reach and is for alot of professional painters who have to buy there own guns to work with, so although i agree a £600 gun when your painting £1000s in work with it each week isnt too much to spend , £600 for a base gun is still alot of money in my honest opinion and not something easily bought by most
