I don't know if you guys have Harbor Freight over there but I switched from 3M to HF knock offs you can spray upside down with them and they only $9 a box in the States

can I paint with the SATA x5500 with the pps 3m cups? I have the adapter. Or does it always need air. with the button. where the paint runs out.

RPS is also nice to store leftover basecoat. Overall RPS is a nice system because of a clean ratio mixing cup every time you paint. You can also re-use it with a quick wash.

good video, what gun gives the best finish without orange peal ? asked on different video. Also do you ever use single stage ? I am in Race car industry and sometimes I use single stage for speed.

The pps 2.0 are sensitive to tightening.i over torqued when first got them and disconnected luckily I didn't have no paint in it

Hey Gunman bit off topic, I’ve been smashing your content recently as I plan to do an at home respray. I know it’s not your favourite however any chance of a walkthrough for spraying 1k at home ? From compressors, gun settings and fluid tips, technique etc? I know you have your spray acrylic video. I was just hoping for something a bit more in depth. There’s mention’s everywhere in your content eg “ 1.6 mm would be good for acrylic clear” I was hoping for an all in one. Totally get it if it’s not your jam.

Do you feel a difference between PPS and normal cup? The flow of paint changes as you are creating vacuum, and your gun settings go out the window after few seconds. Paint jobs with a regular cup are better. I wonder if you noticed it, or if you ever tried to test your gun spray pattern after is starves for air.

Hey Gunny, I also use both the Sata RPS and the 3M PPS 2.0 cups but my favourite is the 3M ones simply due to the fact that I'm to old and senile to remember to pop the little caps on the Sata pots, I think 8 times out of 10 I will forget to do it and it really does my nut in😂 Man you are paying one hell of a price for your disposable cup down in Aus as they are around £60-£80 here in the UK🤔👍John UK

Have you used the DeKups system? It is similar to the 3M where you get liners and liner caps that let you spray upside down, but the hard cup and cover are separate and always reusable. There are no markings on the liners or hard cup so you need to use standard mixing cups. Depending where you get them, the 3M 28oz are about $3.60 USD each and the DeKups 34 oz are around $2.80 USD each plus a 2 pack of the hard cup and cover are $32 USD. The first DeKups 32 pack of liners and 2 hard cups to get started are about $3.80 ea, but the next 32 pack of liners without new hard cups is $2.80 ea so a bit less than the 3M. I have been using the DeKups system and like them, but I am not 100% sold on DeKups. I started using them with my FLG-4 and a 24oz starter kit with the adapter, but have upgraded to DV1 base and clear guns, which came with adapters instead of fixed cups.

best way to clean the pps outside cup is to put a sticky tape around the cup and peal off to clean of the flaky paint. around the top treads, inside and bottom are nonstick and tape will take the loose paint off. the rest you use thinner. go

What type of paint that you need to use 125u and 190u filter?

It should be 125 for water-based paint and 190 for thicker/viscous paint or fluids.
