I agree that even if Cottage Living's good for a Sims 4 pack you should buy Stardew Valley instead

Get To Work was made with Sims 2-3 pack standards and thats why it is so outstandimg compared to other (early) Sims 4 packs. Sims 2 and Sims 3 packs used to include an occult in EVERY SINGLE EP and in the sims 4 GTW followed this trend then they change it…

For Rent should be lower because of the bugs. It's still corrupting people's saves to this day. It's unconscionable that EA is selling it in this state.

Completely!!!! I bought For Rent well after release date and in between patches so I knew for sure it was For Rent that started some of my issues. Certain lots would just keep crashing the game until I deleted them - so random too. A residential lot in Tartosa, a restaurant in San Myshuno. Fortunately it wasn't any of my played houses because I can't even begin to fathom having to rebuild those from scratch. It also makes me worry about downloading from the gallery as I tried downloading my own formentioned residential lot and it had the same issue. A few simmers had EA bug reports about this corruption but were not acknowledged. I have not bought anything since. It's not good enough to buy something at release that is buggy but it's much worse to discover they are selling it like that well after release as well!!! I would tell people to avoid this pack for the sake of their legacy saves.

So I disagree that Lovestruck and Growing Together should be that low. I do agree that the sims creator overcharges us for the content in the pack but I think the compatibility/ attraction systems add a lot more to the game. Before it felt like I could just have my sim go for whoever they wanted but with these systems, my sims can choose for themselves who they like. Or it can create drama in a relationship where sims are incompatable. Plus without Growing Together you can't have the full experience with infants. I also disagree about dates. The dates in Lovestruck are much more fun than the old dates use to be. The only issue I have with them now is that ever since the last update you can't go on a date at a restaurant, or your food will never come. The whole reason I got dine out was so my sims could go on dates at restaurants. They fixed the bug with restaurants...only to screw it up again. However Lovestruck has a nice CAS and I really like the world. As a family sims player, I dont think the packs are that bad. They should have been released earlier and they probably would have been better received. And I dont care what anyone says, Snowy Escape is my favorite pack! I love the world and the sports that come with it and quite a lot of my sims live there. As for Island Living, I treat it like a vacation pack. I agree there isnt that much to do. I also dont really play with mermaids as they are the most underdeveloped occult. I think For Rent and Eco Lifestyle should be lower. For Rent I heard is still buggy as hell. It also doesnt add much gameplay features either other than having apartments...which we have in City Living. I didnt get this pack because it seemed to add more annoying features than benefits. And Eco Lifestyle I only use if I have an off-the-grid farmer sim so the sim can have water and electricity. The career and freelance career I got bored of quickly. And Uni Life I would rate a little higher cause I really like the careers in that pack. Its also a good pack to have if you dont want your sim to jump into a job. And I just wanted to add you dont have to use the default school in HSY. You have to use that lot but you can go to the gallery and use whatever school you want.

My gameplay of "For Rent" has changed my gameplay for my SuperSim. Every time I need to get rid of a huge chunk of money, I build a new house to move into and then turn my old house into a residential rental that my exes live in, and I become their landlord. It's fabulous! I agree with you about Growing Together being Base Game 2.0. You kind of can't play without it...but it also all should've been base game. Although, I think both Snowy Escape (Which is just Seasons, expanded) and Growing Together maybe belong one tier higher. Personally, I love University. I love the perk of entering a career at level 8 instead of starting from the bottom (or level 5 if you get invited). I TOTALLY AGREE that Get Famous is WAY better than people think it is. I think it's Del Sol Valley. The world builds SUCK...but the weather is nice, the gameplay is pretty good, and there are great replacement lots for the entire world in the gallery to make the world so much nicer.

I'm going to be honest: the only fun career (out of the three the pack comes with) is the scientist one - and even that one gets monotonous after a while. The other thing you may like is the retail system as it would allow you to make a spooky shop or smth. Basically, you could sell almost anything. Other than that... Frankly, it's a decent pack for how old it is.

@ hmm yeah, I was just looking up that career and it’s the most in depth compared to the others. The only expansion pack I desperately want is Life & Death and the others are meh to me, so though I might not be completely with Get To Work after a while, it is what it is 😆 Lesson learned!

@@meh9677 I like get to work too, but I feel its repetitive some times. If it had a bit more complexity it would be more fun. LIke imagine play mini games to decipher murder clues, or if we had burglers that could invade our sims house. Or system that sims could get sick and they need to visit the doctor to cure, not just a magic potion to heal everything. Its a good pack but could be even better.

The new bucket list feature includes one for being part of a club so it ended up renewing my interest in club activities. The downside is that new pack features don't often get added as club events so you have to find custom content that adds them.

So if I knew what I know now the packs I would not have bought are high school years and horse ranch, I did not buy Lovestruck and I am happy with that decision. Not overwhelmed by Life and Death but I just got it so I haven't played with it enough to form an opinion yet. I use Island living for a holiday world. Most of mine I got at a reduced price on a third part site so maybe 2 or 3 that I payed full price for, some I waited and got for less than 20$ on other sites.

The Sims 4 has a rocky start- for sure! But, i think it has matured overtime to become the game we all wanted it to be. I really feel it's a few EP- and several stuff and game packs- away from being a perfect game! The one Sim game to rule them all! I am not missing Sims 5- i don't think anyone is!
