That weather thing in Ravenwood... i don't know how EA gaslit a lot of people into thinking that having no changing seasons is fine. It's literally based on a region with snow in winter???? Make all the "autumn represents something something blah blah blah" all you want but seasons also represent life & death. Make excuses like "eternal halloween" and "autumn represents the vibe of life and death", all you want but get this: every other halloween-adjacent worlds like Forgotten Hollow, Glimmerbrook, and Moonwood Hill all come with complete seasons AND THEY ARE ALL FROM GAME PACKS. Since EA did not count for winter in Ravenwood, Sims do not change to winter outfit and I had Sim diying on freezing every few Sim hours. It bothered me so much I had to remove that mod from my game and play with winterless winter 😒

What really annoyed me was the fact that all of the occults and all of the pets are all different packs. Imagine my disappointment when I got pets in my game only to realize it didn't have horses like it did in the sims 3. Sims 3 had EVERYTHING and certain things weren't locked behind a paywall. Took me MONTHS to finally buy all of the occults for the sims 4.

Speaking of high school years, there's a lot of ridiculousness with that pack, but one thing that irked me was the clothing was very exposing and for a pack that's supposed to be set in a American public school. Many American public schools have very strict standards about dress code. Not all of them but quite a few of them. I was kind of hoping for like more modest clothing. Like I would love if they would add a update for layers. Like having an undershirt as separate. That way I could have my Sims wear some of those cute midriff shirts and not feel like they're going against the dress code of the school. * Instead I use cc to add layers. To my clothing.

I mean I don't mind it being in a separate pack laundry day, but do wish it came with more stuff that related to clothing, like a functioning ironing broad. I also would have liked if it would have came with like a sewing machine and a sewing kit for mending clothes however, I think if they do implement a sewing machine, it'll either be in an expansion or it'll be its own stuff pack. It also the laundry day. The machine should have had different options. For instance they only have an option for front loaders. I just feel like they kind of half-a**ed, It would also been nice if they could have added one that does washing and drying combo. Compact washer and dryers as well. Allowed an option to be either on electricity or on natural gas (would have also been great ) And there's no laundromat either as lot type. My sim could have owned and operated a laundromat and made money. Of course, I wish we could choose multiple lot types.

On the flipside, installing Horse Ranch seemed to eliminate all dance interactions except for Cowpoke dancing when I had it in my game. Sims would only do that dance style regardless of where they were and if they had any HR traits.

Do you play on PC or Mac ? If so, get some body hair CC. You can now enjoy infant's, toddler's and kid's with body hair that you can't attribute nor remove. Have one CC provided arm body hair and you have 50% of them having arm body hair. If the Sim do have body hair before aging up, they'll stay when aging up, if not, there is a chance that they will grow some.

I mainly bought: #GetTogether for Clubs, Parties, Arcades and Cafe's. Get To Work for Live Carries and Police. Parenthood for all parent stuff. Other then Arcades, all of those things are pretty essential for a live sim game😒

TheSims 4 is pretty much TheSims 1 recreated from the ground up to have microtransactions and extra content hard coded into the game itself. TheSims 1 had pretty much no toddlers, the babies in sims1 were also objects for some reason who were stuck in their crib, you can only load the house you're in and leaving requires reloading everything. Nearly everything in thesims1 was added later in expansions and even more shockingly, groups of items that were originally just free mods were also sold as "stuff packs" for TheSims1 in bundles called "That's Life". Granted those were unofficial but the similarities are insanely close. There are other things that contradict my theory though. Best example are pools not being in sims4 base when sims1 had them day 1 and in sims1 kids can never grow up (which can lead to softlocks) in the base game (makin magic added an option to fix this but its hard to do) which im sure sims4 has it coded in.

I am going to expand on the diaper changing and add everything for infants included in Growing Together. All of that should be in base game. Period. And speaking of Growing Together, besides milestones, which I see more like Sims 2 memories system, which WAS basegame feature back then, than achievements, family dynamic and social compatibility should also be in base game. I love Growing Together. As family player I consider it essential for my gameplay. However, I am not blinded EA fan, so I can admit to you that many of that EPs features should be base game update and the rest would be better as Parenthood expansion similar to what Spa Day got. And speaking of this, cuddling should be base game feature, I'll give you that, but I think you forgot more glaring parts of Lovestruck that should be base game update: the attraction system and romantic dynamic. Both of those should be base game feature and not paywalled.

Before I played the Sims 4 I hadn't played the sims at all since the sims 2 when I was a kid (and I specifically got ts4 because I wanted to play as a cat but you can't do that in ts4 🙄) and I didn't start playing ts4 until like 2021, but I don't think I would've liked this game if I had started playing when it came out lol. Infants and toddlers CAN have body hair, and a LOT of it. You can't give them body hairs, but, the game will often give them body hair. All you need is any CC that provide additional body hair options and the game will frequently give some of those to infants and toddlers, but never any of those from the game. If you have CCs that provide 9 type of chest body hair, then, you have a 1 in 10 chance that your infant will NOT have chest body hair. Scaring demand Get Famous or Werewolf. Need to hire a vendor to work at the food stall to get the privilege of buying food at that food stand... Laundry Day, or another broken pack. With that pack, neat Sims will drop dirty clothes on the ground whenever they change attire on a residential lot... Even when doing so right next to an empty cloth basket. Most achievement are PER SAVE. Including the one for having played 5 hours total. The «Fell in love» milestone is awarded each time a Sim woohoo with a new partner, or, if you have WW, have sex with a new partner. EVEN it the romance is at zero. There is one for peeing on a care giver, and another for a big blowout.

This is y i cant with the Sims 4 and the new EA.. this game useto be my favorite game, especially during the Sims 2 era. Since the 2000s i loved this gamd but i started to fall out of loving yhis game in the middle of the sims3 era since i wanted sims2, but with mord life stages, deeper gameplay or more of the small details.
