A very good thought provoking discussion. Death was the main topic. It would have been good if the question of who dies was brought up. As I understand in essence of Buddhist teaching you cannot find a person dying. Similar to an optical illusion of a mirage to our eye-brain system, self is an illusion to our mind-brain system. This is what the Buddha “discovered” as anatta, that was explained to the five ascetics by Annattalakkhana Sutta, that enabled them to shed their life long Vedic belief of soul concept and the realization of enlightenment. Awakening encompasses integration of this reality to our thinking process and experience living with this reality. Sincere thanks to both of them for the lovely discussion.

Death is that you are no longer alive. All living things will eventually die. So, what is the problem? We will have to face the reality. This discussion has no convincing answer but has made death so complicated.
