Satisfactory Myth-busting: What is the fastest way to get around? Slide Jump/Blade Runners/Jet Pack?

Updated to Current Date May 2nd 2023: Measured across a distance of 25 flat foundations. Walking - 40 Seconds Running - 22 Seconds Running + Jumping (Like Minecraft) - 22 Seconds Slide Jumping - 16 Seconds Running with Blade Runners - 15 Seconds Slide Jumping with Blade Runners - 10.5 Seconds Slide Jump with Blade Runners followed by maintaining height with Jetpack - 10.5 Seconds Tractor from stop - 15 Seconds Tractor from 10 Foundations of acceleration - 12.5 Seconds Truck from stop - 13.5 Seconds Truck from 10 Foundations of acceleration - 9.5 Seconds Explorer from stop - 9.5 Seconds Explorer from 10 Foundations of acceleration - 8.5 Seconds Factory Cart from stop - 14.5 Seconds Factory Cart from 10 Foundations of acceleration - 12.5 Seconds I don't have the Cyber Wagon unlocked. Jump Pads - 10-12 seconds depending on how smoothly you get on the first pad and stick landings. Hypertube -10 seconds 7 Foundation long Hypertube cannon into hypertube (90 FPS) - So fast its hard to measure, roughly 1.2 seconds.

Important point, momentum is saved when you are flying with the jet pack. Also, when you Run on other moving objects your speed is added with the objects. So, if you run on a fast conveyor belt then jump off and use the jet pack you will continue with the increased speed. If you want to have extra fun you can run and jump off of a train to fly at ungodly speeds.

exactly this, try conveyor mk4 and then make the jetpack burst flight, i make easily 15sec that distance xD or even less

couple points 1. the way i travel around is i slide jump in blade runners and quickly switch to jetpack in the air to maintain that speed as long as possible. it's a simple matter of tapping tab and 1 to switch between jetpack and blade runners as long as you don't have any fruits/berries in you rinventory 2. i don't know what you were doing when you did your slide jump test in the blade runners. it looked VERY slow in your video. almost like you weren't sprinting during it or something. in my tests, slide jumping in blade runners is FAR faster than just sprinting in blade runners. 3. wish you'd benchmarked the ficsit factory cart

I think bladed slide-jumping is the best method anyway, because it works on uneven terrain. You can jump over many obstacles and if needed you can fall back to just running ...

It is great for forrest jumping if one doesn't got jetpacks! And great fun too!

With blade runners I've had luck crouching just as you are about to hit the ground then jumping the very frame you hit. It lets me jump uphill if i get the timing right and sometimes really throws me. Fast enough to outrun the truck on flat ground with ease.
