Looks great! Don’t ever be embarassed, your sincerity and realness is what makes your channel so relatable! Everyone at somepoint has/had/will have a situation like this in their house. And to be honest cleaning the shower is really annoing. A tip: you could have used oven cleaner, apply it and let it sit for 10 min, since that is all grease, it would melt super easy and it would have saved your arm! Thank you for your videos, saluto from italy 🍀✨🇮🇹

When I moved in this house my shower was awful. I used the magic shower formula...dawn, vinegar, and water. Spray and leave it for at least 20 minutes. Then a little scrub and it comes super clean. We have hard water. Lowe's has caulk tube caps. A must for caulk and adhesives. Put a bit of caulk where the grout is missing.

The Clorox toilet bowl cleaner that is the blue gel works wonders on tile grout. One trick for cleaning the shower floor in the future is to cover the whole thing in a nice wet lather of whatever cleaning product, cover it with plastic wrap, and then let it sit for an hour or more. Let the product soak in and that way you don’t have to scrub as hard. Oh, and Gorilla Glue makes a very inexpensive and easy to use all-purpose clear sealant, maybe you can patch the holes in your shower tiles with that? As Mercury Stardust, The Trans Handy Ma’am says: “You’re worth the time it takes to learn something new!” ☺️

Great job on your shower! I've used the Fume Free blue can of Easy Off which helps break down the body oils & requires less "elbow grease." As for the caulk, I stick a nail in the opening so that it doesn't dry out too quickly, but once it's been opened it is only a matter of time before it's no longer useful. I usually end up buying new caulk each time I do a project. Finally, I love the E-Cloth shower Cleaning Pack which cuts through the soap scum in the shower & on the shower door which is easy to wipe down when I'm in the shower.

I could scrub it for 100 hours and it still looks filthy! I even brought our power washer into the house and tried that…it didn’t help! We are remodeling our bathroom so our shower is getting all new tile and the shower pan is getting reglazed! $600.00 but I don’t care, it’s worth my sanity! Anxious to watch more of your videos. Looks great! And DonnaJean is adorable! I do call myself the Queen of Caulk. My Dad taught me when I was a child and, yes, your (damp) finger is always best. Unless you have super long nails, like I do. I find no matter how it's sealed, unless you are a contractor using it daily, for my yearly or every two year projects, it dries up. Sometimes sticking the metal thing on the side of the caulk gun down in the tube reveals the sealed in caulk, sometimes it does not. You did a great job! Also- I am a huge fan of the Organised Mum method. Once you do it for a few solid weeks, you can actually easily skip days you need to and your house stays clean. Just don't go too long, of course. But I skipped a solid week, just kept up with daily laundry, dishes, wiping down, picking up, and my house stayed perfect. My shower stays clean with no scrubbing, 2x a week or so I spritz it down with Clorox Bleach Spray after a shower, no rinse- just leave the room as it's dangerous to smell it. (And I never mix bleach with other products, of course. I had to mention that because some people do not know that it's dangerous to your lungs to mix bleach with other cleaning products..) Last- I stopped the video and tried your method of the Dawn Powerwash on my shower door. OheMGee! What an easy, quick, absolutely perfect thing! Thanks for that tip!
@jodidunnmymessylife18472 жыл бұрын
Oh Lori so happy you tried the dawn powerwash on your shower door. It’s my favorite ❤️ Thanks for the caulk tips! I had no idea it would just dry up. Yes I gotta get back to it because I can totally see how her structure makes cleaning way less intimidating ❤️

I love Bar Keep. My shower looks the same sometimes. 🙈 To help make it easier, wet down your shower first, then sprinkle the powder, and let it sit for at least 15 mins. After that, come scrub it in to make a liquidy paste and let it sit a few mins more. It will be much easier after that. I use a scrub brush with a handle. You will still have to scrub but not nearly as much and won’t be nearly as sore. 🙂

Men in my family always has a nail in the caulk tube top after using. Big one with a flat top nail. Just what I always saw growing up. Great work on your shower! 👍🏻

Shower looks great! I would suggest investing in a over the shower head rack to hold all of your products. No need to stick anything to walls. Works amazing

Thankyou for this video, I have been putting off cleaning bathtub shower combination, so when I saw this video, I stopped the video and went and cleaned it. Feel so much better. I now use scrubbing bubbles grime fighting with a magic eraser. Works like a charm. Thankyou for motivating me. 🥰🤩

Jodi-love your channel. I bought an inexpensive Moen shower head that detaches, and can be used as a sprayer. It makes life so much easier when you clean the shower, because you can just spray it down after you clean. I love it so much I’ve installed it in two showers.
