You capture and deliver the soul and nuances on all the covers you perform. As guitarists, it's easy for us to apply various borrowed techniques for our own originals and call it "originals". You play all these songs like you own them down to the micro-fibers, and it's hands-down amazing. Your vids are truly educational, inspiring and entertaining. Keep the camera rolling!!!

So Satsuma san, your belly noticeably started coming out between 2010 and 2012.. and has slowly grown since. Awesome playing as always. Nuance and detail is top notch. Sugoi.

I just watched one of his instruction DVDs and this guy is truly amazing. Incredibly detailed, thorough, he even plays the entire song at half speed. I'm 100% sure this is the definitive Yngwie style guide. Approx. 75 min and about 15 dollars per disc (for one song).

Agreed, he plays it so badly these days, when you watch him play it in 1985 and then watch him play it now it's sometimes unbelievable that it's the same person. His speed is still there but his playing isn't (and if someone doesn't understand that comment they will never be able to have it explained to them)
@stevejames7464 жыл бұрын
@@drexlspivey5828 I have seen him live at least 12 times over the years, and though he says this is always a favorite of his to play, he just seems extremely bored playing it. It's pretty much the same with "Black Star" live as well. He will play uptempo and beyond, and the beautiful phrasing just seems to have disappeared in lieu of pure speed runs.. He used to be so articulate and tasteful, but he seems to have been on autopilot for a long time now. Solos were clearly structured over the first several albums, and of course some scattered over the years. But he's devolved into a pure shred-machine, and not a particularly clean one, at that.. This takes nothing away from being a true innovator of electric guitar; there is no modern Neo-classical school of playing without him, despite what detractors will say nowadays. But try doing a search of "Yngwie special man" from around the "Trilogy" period or shortly thereafter. You'll find the master in peak form there, and it's still amazing to behold..

Give me your thoughts on covering this song w/ out a scalloped fretboard. I am working through it and wonder what differences in tone there are. You really have this down and I'm interested to know how big if a difference it makes sounding so close to Malmsteen. Any advice is much appreciated.
