Love, love how you whispered 'zucchini'. I'd have to do that too but my hubby has such acute taste buds that I'm not sure I could get that past him even if I never uttered it into existence. He is the original Anti Veggie Man...that along with all his other 'Food Rules' (Thou Shalt Not Alter An Original Recipe, Thou Shalt Not Add Sneaky Vegetables, Thou Shalt Not...etc, etc.) makes it a challenge to cook budget friendly meals. He is an extremely good man so I cannot fault his food craziness but even my friends 'pity' me when it comes to recipe sharing, lol! That has to be why I love, love, love seeing how much Howie loves your meals Bev and how appreciative he is.

Looks delicious! We are in the midst of winter storm Heather here in Texas, so it's a crockpot meal of steak -n-taters with gravy and biscuits for us. Good "cold weather" food :) I'm glad Gracie got her "bite", she was waiting so patiently 😅

Hi bev, this looks delicious!! i have 2 kinds of cheese in my fridge, mild white cheddar & mild marble cheddar. Got it at metro a couple weeks ago it was on sale for $3.97 a block, (in quebec also) I was shocked. I should have definitely bought more than 2 blocks. I was thinking of making a mac and cheese with it tonight for supper ALONG with some homemade venison & ground beef meatballs, and carrots. Do you think the marble & mild white would make a good macaroni and cheese?

ABSOLUTELY! If you want more TANG? Add a tabspoon of mustard or a teaspoon of dry mustard to your white sauce. it makes the cheese have more zip!😘
