You cook exactly the same way I do! So many people today have no clue how to do it like this! Absolutely nothing goes to waste and so many future meals almost totally cooked and ready and waiting in the freezer! That’s what I call cooking from scratch fast food! It’s the way our grandparents did it and you are teaching the next generation! Absolutely love it! It also shows them when you feed your hard working husband that you are putting a whole lotta love into your cooking too. Keep the videos coming, I learn something every time! God bless. 🥰❤️🇨🇦🙏🏻🍁

i LOVE THESE KINDS OF VIDEOS - I remember finding youself, Bexar Prepper, Noreen, and Misty Prepper around 2011, you all convinced me that pressure canning was so much better than just using a freezer to store my food in! When you lost power for that incredibly long time (over 24 hours) I knew I needed to start doing it - we lose power in WI EVERY summer .... just never hought of canning water until we lost power for 4 days up here! LOL

I canned my meat loaves and meatballs and Salisbury steaks. I precooked the meatballs and Salisbury steaks then canned them 1" head space. Then I packed widemouth pints then put a dent into the centers too prevent the meat from swelling up and touching the seal. Tried and true you will be ready for winter power . Because on my last outage I lost all in foods and the side-by-side frig but not in the energy saver frig. So I've changed everything in winter time that way I just heat meals in iron skillet deep chicken frying pan open fire or family dollar sterno heat. They've gone up from $1.00 to $1.25 a can. And was so blessed to have canned up the free heads of cabbages it was prefect for adding too my fried taters and polish sausage skillet meal.

I know this is going to sound crazy but, several years ago I wrote the Reynolds company and asked them what side should be closest my food. They actually said it doesn't matter because its all made from the same stuff and will cook exactly the same. As for the foil on the bottom, my stove is probably 12 or 13 years old and I have put foil on the bottom of mine since it was new and never had a problem. I don't put loads of the stuff in there but I do put a sheet under the center of the racks to catch any drips. I wonder if thats why it hasn't effected mine.

Have you tried canning your meatloaf. I did in 1/2 pints because its just me and I get 2 meals out of it. Perfect for garden season meals just warm and add mashed potatoes and a side veggie. But I always put a dent in centers so it cooks good. Plus I've canned chicken and pork chunks for barbeque. And stir fry. I gleened pork chops porkloin, veggies and bag of apples 8 bananas and 5 bags of peeled garlic that will do 2 fold yes and 3 bags that will be planted for new garlic for this year and Apple jelly and hand pies for the freezer and zucchini bread and fritters and banana bread. I will have my pantry filled in no time. This way I can buy more meats. I'm on a fixed income so I stretch that buckle ever time. And will get 9 meals from the gleened pork. Over a weeks of meals.
