They just break because he's so committed to the character, I don't think he does it to get them to break because I think he's a good improv artist that really doesn't want to break the actors although it's fun to see that when it happens organically but I don't think he's trying for that What's my luck in an interview when he's 80 years old he's going to come out inside I was always trying to get him to crack them up you know I was playing the character Angle now I knew that would get him.

The problem with a lot of actors who does the straight man act is, they tend to be bland so as to contrast the zany comedian's antics. Not Sudeikis. He actually gives a good amount of personality to his straight man roles. He is funny in his own right, while not stealing the spotlight from the wacky comedians. That's how he was during his SNL tenure

Unfortunately for my parents, I was the opposite. Correcting them all the time. I even educated a teacher once on the difference between lone and alone, in a sentence that teacher said I was using wrong. I went to an English teacher and was proven not wrong.

@@davidalden909, I did the same with a history teacher about Paul Revere, pointing out he was captured by the British at one point and asking why he didn’t talk about William Dawes and Dr Samuel Prescott? I was sent to the Vice Principal’s office. Fortunately he was also a history teacher and told my teacher that it was sad when a student knows more than the teacher.

This was pure comedy at its finest. I haven't laughed this hard in a while. They definitely need to make this a continuous bit. It's almost a model off of Celebrity Jeopardy, the teacher being annoyed by the students and Alex being annoyed by the contestant with their responses. WRITERS PLEASE DO MORE OF THIS SKIT WITH JASON SUDEIKIS.

I totally agree, Christine! I had to keep rewinding it because I was laughing so much, I kept missing some of the dialogue. Mr. Teacher brought to mind Mr. Lewis, my ever-exasperated Monroe Jr. High science teacher (San Jose, circa. 1976 🤦♀️) whose hair style, glasses, and wardrobe consisting of short-sleeve shirt & polyester trousers, could have been the inspiration for SNL’s costume department! (BTW, Mr. Lewis was one of my favorite teachers of all time👍)

I will always love Jason Sudeikis. Seeing him just get more and more annoyed and finally going into full pissed off was brilliant. Plus I didn't even know the "Loni" part was a flub until I read the comments. He took that and ran with it so well I just thought it was more of the kids and parents being incompetent.

Not exactly. Cecily's characters name IS Loni (or possibly spelled Lonnie). Melissa screwed up by pronouncing it with a hard O instead of a soft O, Like LOhnie. And yes then Jason ran with it and ad libbed the rest including calling the mom the wrong name too.

No she didn't, Lony(LOW-nee) is a woman's name Loni(LAW-nee) is a guys name, so that's why she said Lony, and Jason got mad the student never corrected him
