After Colin says "Mrs. Reardon" keep pausing and be dazzled at the series of head moves, eyes...it's a marvel of not just comic genius but extraordinary acting. Quite something to see and see again. Saw her on 5th ave on a brutally cold day I just smiled at her, giving her a head nod and she smiled such a smile. It's what you do in New York, at the most unless you're a tourist. They really appreciate it. Same thing happened in '78 when I saw Bernadette Peters and Steve Martin the day after Steve hosted an SNL. I DID talk to Quentin Tarantino when he lived in the Village. At Kim's Underground Video. I was looking at a copy of the script for JACKIE BROWN, telling my wife how off it was (I love it now, this was when Quentin was playing on Broadway in "WAIT UNTIL DARK") and my wife came around the corner and whispered, "He's on the other side", I looked at her with a "Are you shitting me" look and she shook her head. Flop sweat on my fuckin' forehead. So I decide to not worry about it and some minutes later he is three feet away. I said, "Love your work." which was true, is true. He didn't know it was me because I put on a good Liverpool accent. LOL...I'm such an asshole. I blew my NYC cool in the presence of the great QT.
