Cheri said in a podcast interview with Harland Williams (The Harland Highway, great podcast!) that she based Collette on her Nana. The way she reminisced her Nana was both hilarious and sweet. She will forever be my top female SNL alumni, such a talented, down to earth comedic Queen 🙌🏼

Those faces she pulls after 4:50 blow my mind again and again. I'm mesmerised by Oteri's subtle change in expression: I saw it as if she changed the face of a woman gone insane gradually into the face of a woman whose smile is the only sane part of her left, a smile to lock away her pain and shame. Near the end I felt almost heartbroken. Which made me love the big group hug at end the more. Good skit! Good skit!
