Honestly, whenever I fall down, I'm super selfish conscious about standing back up. It's a weird feeling that I find hilarious that SNL parodied! 😂
@anamedina54156 жыл бұрын
Falling down and getting back up is the most awkward thing in the world. Having people around who want to help you would make it much easier though. The students were not even laughing at all but, she just made the situation worse and worse. So funny.

You know that an actress/actor is amazing when they manage to make you cry of laughter in a sketch about a teacher who fell down

I'll bet anything this was written by the same guy that did the oil baron sketch with Adam Driver. Everyone is more "normal" and casual, and she's in her own private dramatic/silly genre with the classic movie background music. Both sketches went back and forth between the people in reality and the one who's caught in a cinematic bubble. If not the same writer, it's a similar formula at least. I think it's hysterical either way. I love how absurd it is😂
@VivaLaGracex6 жыл бұрын
actually, it was written by a gal!
@hollyodell40126 жыл бұрын
@@VivaLaGracex Is it a newer writer on the show? The style of this is very distinctive. I heard the oil baron sketch was by a new writer on the show, a guy whose name escapes me. The similarities were making me wonder if it was the same writer. But if this means there also another writer who likes to do crazy, absurd stuff like this, that's even better!😁😁

Ok, looked it up. So Eli Mandel wrote the oil baron sketch, Alison Gates wrote teacher fell down. Looks like they're both Second City people who just got hired this season. And both seemingly have a love of the dramatically absurd, and know how to pick the right music and use it in the right places😁😁 This makes me happy, am going to start keeping an eye out for their material.

This totally reminded me of the oil baron sketch, especially since Pete Davidson is also sitting right in the front as usual.

The whole time I was watching this, I kept thinking of my 6th grade English teacher that fell down while she was teaching. Unfortunately I wasn’t in her class at the time, but when I heard about it I laughed so hard. She fell during the like the last few minutes of class. All the kids were just staring at her, and the math, science, and history teacher came to see what happened. They offered to help her up, but she said she was fine. The math teacher was like okay and left, but the other two stayed and tried to not laugh. She ended up staying on the floor until the bell rang.

Teacher here... About 10 years ago, I was sitting on a student desk in the back of the classroom and fell backwards. My head hit the aluminum trash can. Everyone was silent for a brief moment and then burst out laughing. I got up and had a student get an ice pack from the nurse for my head. I thought my head was the only thing that I hurt, but the next morning, I was so sore.
