I make a LOT of mushroom bacon, mostly out of king oyster mushrooms, but I wanted to make an easier version... from a mushroom everyone can find... the portobello... now usually with the portobello mushroom people simply slice it up and throw it in marinade... that comes out good, but still very mushroomy.... I wanted to do it a new way.. a way that brought more bacon flavors and textures to this easy to find mushroom!
