Whoever found this review after seeing the Aubrey Running rebuttal? 👀 But also… point well taken. Compare Invincible vs Vaporfly / Alphafly and you generally have the same properties of zoomX. Saucony somehow nerfed their PwrrnPB here though. Hard pass on Triumph 22 for me.

Appreciate your honest take on the Triumph 22. The guy throwing shade at you gets his shoes for free and more or less claims every shoe he reviews is the bee's knees based on a handful of runs and typically very low mileage.

Great review and appreciate the honesty. You shouldn't have apologised on Aubrey's channel for being honest and real. Stay authentic and keept it real. The shoe feels like walking on wet cardboard I agree. It feels dead underfoot. I mean to the point that I don't even want the shoe for easy runs for £170. I love Saucony but this one just didn't work for me.

Ran 13 miles in these the first time wearing them and was mixed. Ran 8 the second time and really enjoyed them and liked them ever since.

1. These are softer than the 20 and 21 for me. I’m 195lbs. The 20 and 21 were bricks to me. 2. I don’t think they could have use the exact same formula as the speed 4 because they it would be too soft and unstable with no plate. Also, I think they went easy run path to force you into the speed 4 for faster runs. 3. I like these and kept them where as I sent the 20 and 21 back.

i kind of agree, the Triumph 21 with the pwrun+ is kind of firm too and I was not blown away. Even though the name of the foam for the triumph 22 and speed 4 are the same, it may not be the same blend. I was looking at the Mizuno neo vista for my next long run shoe now when the time comes to replace the 21.

Yeah, but that shouldn't be the case. When they name a foam it comes with expectation. The foam name basically means nothing if it's soft and bouncy in one shoe and wet cardboard on another 😂

Yeah, I'm passing on this shoe. 1080 v13 will be my next long/easy run shoe.

Yeah definitely a step backward...and the 23 might be a small update too....could be 2 years before we get a good triumph again

I am so sorry you caught heat for this! I love Saucony and am nervous about this update...I think the real issue is that they promised versatility (which most of us Triumph fans loved in the 20/21) and it sounds like they made something way more one-note here.

The Saucony Ride 17 is the much better shoe.

I haven't tried the Ride line out yet. It would be interesting if the Ride 17 performs better as it's $20 cheaper.

I love them, super comfy, really well made. I have the 22’s and ride’s and they’re both very good. No point in comparing these to speed 4’s.
