Since you’re flying across Lake Superior. Are you required to put life jackets on and have a raft with you?

@@gabrielchartrand1278 , I stay within gliding distance of land at all times, so life jackets are not required. I do wear them when I deem the terrain to be very unfriendly, such as lakes, rocks and trees. That covers 90% of Ontario that is North of Midland. In an emergency, I’d likely opt for ditching in the water, as close as possible to the shore. Fortunately I’ve had water egress training, so I’m pretty confident that myself and my passengers would survive a ditching if I had no better option. Legally having life jackets for each person on board is adequate if you’re within 100 NM of shore, which I would be if crossing Lake Superior.
