Fantastic recipe! I love sausage, peppers and onion sandwiches. I like both hot and sweet sausage, but where I live, I can't get sausage with fennel in it. Sausage just isn't the same without fennel, especially sweet sausage. I'm going to try to make my own Italian sausage so I can have it the way I like it. I also don't know where to get oh-yeah-baby peppers!

People around my area will make this recipe, but they add a local favorite sauce, Mids, to the mix. Then they spoon out sandwiches, but they also put cheese on top. Either parmesan, or a mix of parm, Asiago, and Romano, or if you like, mozzarella.

Pasquale I like it either way plain or with tomato sauce so that you know. Sausage and Peppers is one of my most favorite foods. My late Italian Grandmother use to also add small Mushrooms to the mix. I like the idea of having one hot pepper cut up in the mix. My late Italian Grandfather use to grow them in his garden as you do. Those Italian rolls look great. I have no idea where to get them in Central NJ so I usually pickup fresh Portuguese Rolls which are very good also. I love this Video. You made me hungry this very early Wednesday morning at 5 am. I could easily eat one of those Sausage and Pepper Sandwiches for Breakfast. This full blooded Italian would have no problem doing so. Maybe Two. Thanks for the Video.

I used to get this at a really great pizzeria. They put a few slices of provolone cheese on it. Also, they make their own sausage. They get the best cheese for the pie. I like the one with pesto for sauce and artichokes, feta cheese, tomatoes, black olives, onions, and olive oil! They claim they invented the clam and garlic pizza! I think that's a joke. I grew up in Hollywood. Watching this video is great. It is beautiful art. Mike
