I absolutely love that you shred your own cheese. People do not understand that bag cheese is coded in potato starch which is why it always turns out grainy when you make a cheese sauce or macaroni and cheese with it. As much as I love Welsh rabbit, the beer and cheese sauce is ruined because of potato starch. Thank you for reminding me about how easy this recipe is. My mom always added a quarter cup of chopped parsley to the mix to make it festive at Christmas time. It never changed the flavor, but boy do any sausage balls look wonderful!!!!?
@ccjohnson67982 жыл бұрын
I agree with you about the cheese, it really makes such a difference. I never thought to add parsley, but I think I'll do that this year.

It changed my life...haha. I got my mother's white one when she was no longer able to cook and I have been using it too...it is the very basic model but I love them all. I remember how hard these sausage balls were to make before we had these mixers and there is no way my hands could handle that now. Thanks so much for watching and commenting...Happy Holidays!! Caren p.s. I am going to try the recipe your way this next time....I love spicy stuff.

I had added comments on sausage gravy. I neglected to say to use split biscuits while hot OR a piece of toast. Either one is delicious. I bake the biscuits according to box instructions
