Savage 110 ba .338 Lapua magnum

My dealer got one of these in for $1700. I went in to by it last week and he had just sold it the day before. So in a fit of rage I had him order a Surgeon XL repeater action for .338 Lapua which cost more than the whole Savage rifle. This rifle is an incredible bargain in a .338 tactical rifle. Great vid.

First 60-70 rounds is the break in for the barrel on this rifle. I have the same rifle and love it! Great video. Happy shooting.

@YellowMetalDriver I transport mine in a Pelican 1750 case, it just fits and I mean just, with the butt retracted all the way, and the foam cut from end to end it just scrapes in. So its 50.5" on the dot.

Thanks for the video. You should check carefully if you are in Canada. As far as know 50 cals are banned here in Canada. They are for sure here on Ontario anyway. My big plan for getting around that is to get my next big bore in 416 instead of 50bmg. That will get me around the ban and the 416 is supposed to reach farther with more accuracy besides. So looking forward to when I can get that in the budget.

If you are looking for a slanted rail for a monopod on the Magpul PRS2-G stock/ Savage BA110. the PRS has a rail but the PRS2 has two holes...I found one after countless hours of searching and calling around. It's made by sage international out of Oscoda, MI. Do a net search and call them direct. I spoke to Tammy which was a huge help. Hope this helps save somebody the headache that I went through trying to find a monopod rail for this thing.

the 110 BA is chambered for .300 Win Mag or .308 Lapua, if you want something chambered in .308 you will need to look at the 10 BA.

I have been looking at getting the Savage 110 338 Lapua but decided not to get one due to the cost of ammo. Well I now reload all my own ammo and now my plans are to get one. Just need to save up for one.

@Ignerence Sorry, was told the wrong thing. You can get 50's but in a very limited number of configurations. Me I'm not interested in a single shot. And thanks to people making the rules that don't seem to have a clue I can get the Barrett in 416 and all is cool.

yes this did help very much. from what ive heard, the .338LM is a much more accurate performer at long ranges than the .50 BMG. current long range sniper kill is with a .338 LM, and it beat out a .50 BMG (shot by a Canadian ;) too bad the Brit beat our boy, but oh well haha) so if i ever had to shoot out a long range target, id choose a .338 LM based on historic results.

savage put out a LH version for 2013
