Sir, I shoot this discipline in Australia with virtually the same gun. I enjoy beating some of the custom shooters with my factory rifle but not many. Clean 250 over 5 cards normally wins with the x dot normally being the differentiator. I shot a 250.8x and came 10th in a National, the only time I have ever shot a clean. The 6br is a great round for all the reasons you claim, and the Savage is a great way into competitive shooting.

Indeed, its such a great rifle that I feel punches way above its weight for being a factory produced rifle. Appreciate you watching!

Well after going back and forth for quite a while about what rifle I wanted I finally settled on this rifle and just ordered it. I do have an interest in possibly getting into bench rest competitions one day. So I figured this would be a good starter rifle to see if I like it. I paired it with a Nightforce Benchrest 8-32x56. Should be a great combination.

@@TheHide Thanks! Yeah it's gonna be a beast! The 6mmbr is going to finally push me into reloading also. I've been slowly getting some of the gear over the past year or so. Looking forward to my new hobby.

That looks like a boatload of fun! I am going to get one. They are listed for $1299.99 here right now (May 3, 2020). I am curious what you paid back when you bought yours (I am assuming 3 years ago).

I wish I had a private 200 yd range. Shooting in my backyard will get me 10 years. Are you still liking the rifle? I'm looking to get one. What is the 5 shot MOA like after you tweaked your loads?
@TheHide6 жыл бұрын
Oh no, yea you probably shouldn't do that lol. I don't currently own the rifle anymore as I try and keep new stuff here at The Hide, but I did have it about a year. I was able to get consistent 1/2 MOA groups at 100yrds with it running handloads. Its a great rifle, you wont be disappointed.. Thanks for watching!
