I bought My 2015 Buick Lacrosse new 10 years ago and it has not seen the inside of a repair shop since I brought it home. Now with 145,000 kms it is still running perfect. In fact tomorrow I will be replacing the brake pads for the first time. Buick is very reliable if you treat them right. I love my Buick Lacrosse!

I love this car. I got one because it was cheap since it wasn't popular. I'm 23 and want a quick but quiet and refined ride, and this nailed that. I was surprsied at how well it handled. It handled as well as my 08 Accord, which may not sound like much but after considering that Honda is well known for it's good handling in a place you wouldn't expect (a cheap car), and that the Buick is bigger and heavier, I fell in love with it. Some interior material was cheap, but it made sense. The simplicity of the mechanical side of the car (FWD, NA) helped me feel confident in getting into this car. Your review really helped me pick this one and I always recommend this car to people!

i just bought one of these (used obviously) i went to this from my 2007 monte carlo SS (v8 303hp 323 ft-lbs), i was suprised that this handled better then the monte and has the same HP but lacking in tourque which isnt a big deal, i need to keep my foot out of it with $5.09 a gallon gas wider tires helps a lot too from what i can tell

I bought a loaded 2016. They improved Intellilink and added Android Auto and Apple Car Play when MB, BMW & Lexis didn't or not standard equipment. Mine has been flawless and dealer service exemplary. I feel I got so much value here in a luxury car. I used to say near luxury but when I compare it to so called luxury marks, I have every convenience and as quiet a ride or more so then they offer. I am in my fifties so I am not sure if I am the target market for Buick but they made a repeat customer out of me. Only negative is they almost have given up on passenger cars. I had an SUV before the LaCrosse. If I wanted an SUV I would have kept what I had. My wife's MB has become a money pit with only mid 40K miles. One major component failure after another. Really MB? Plus my Buick runs on regular or E85 as it is a flex fuel. It runs super smooth on E85 too. Way to go Buick, but you made a mistake cancelling this model. I know, everybody is supposed to want an SUV, but you not all of us!

I just purchased a 2012 with 60000 miles it's front drive with the V-6 the only drawback is rear visibility which is almost zero so looking for someone coming along side is very important in this car the V-6 has plenty of power but driving this car in the snow requires skill most people don't have it's tricky for sure but overall I like the ride and handling of this car Buick did pretty well overall

I'm 36. I own the car and love it. I formerly had BMW (twice) and Lexus (once), and I'm really sold on the look and the feel. True, the technology within the car is a bit glitchy. That's incredibly bothersome at times, but I've learned to overlook it. Otherwise, I'm quite happy with it. In terms of brand image, you're spot on. Still looked at as being for a crowd over 60, but I do think that's changing (very slowly).

Thanks for commenting on this one. Why do you like it better than your former BWM and Lexus?
@socalguy97
@socalguy97 10 жыл бұрын
savagegeese I like it better than any car I've owned before because not everyone has one. It stands out. I get a lot of compliments (and questions--i.e., what is that car? It looks great). It's unique, and extremely classy, or at least that's what I thought of it the very first time I saw it in person and drove it. It's so much quieter and much more plush than my BMWs were, or even than my Lexus was. At the same time I really REALLY love how sleek and sporty it feels for being a larger car. Has all the technology I need--perhaps more than I need. While this may be a mass market car, it sure doesn't look (or feel) like it is whereas now BMW, Lexus, Infinity and even Mercedes are starting to feel mass market because they're as common to see on the road as Honda, Toyota or Chevy. I was a little skeptical at first, but now I think I'd honestly go for another of these when it's time to trade.

@@blairbrown4812 I agree. That would have changed the game for the brand for years to come. It’s beyond me why they decided not to go through with the Avista or for that matter any other great concept they came out with. I no longer own my Buick LaCrosse, but it was a fantastic car. I’d have been interested in buying another, but since Buick only makes SUV’s as of 2020, I’m no longer interested. Good luck to Buick and to GM 🤷🏻‍♂️

This is an older review, but I had a Chevrolet in the same color as this Lacrosse, and a Tacoma in an extremely similar color, and I absolutely think it's a stunning look. I don't like black cars because of how difficult it is to keep them in a good state, but I made the exception for this metallic black. Really makes these things shine!

I hope you test more average cars like this. The Lacrosse is still more of a cruiser than a canyon carver, but the smallest wheels available are 17'', but only for the base model. If this trend persists, cars will soon have 20'' wheels with a large rubber band wrapped around them, It's ridiculous.

As a 32 year old owner of a 2016 Buick Enclave, I simply love it. I had a '96 Skylark that fell apart due to salt corrosion (it was from upstate NY) but it rode great up until the end. It was reliable, no major mechanical issues at all. Body went before anything because of weather. That being said, Buick has really done a 180 having witnessed it firsthand. The Enclave is classy, comfy, rides and handles great, good for my new family, and is just overall something that I can look at and say, "I really love what they have created." Granted it still has some older things like a keyed ignition versus push button; I can overlook that for the simple reason that it is just a well built and beautiful vehicle. I had a Caddy CTS before and this beat Lexus RX350 in the ride quality, driver experience, and seat comfort. I didn't really dig the asymmetrical interior of the 350 anyway. I am a fan of Buick, even because of the Skylark.

I don't know if I just come from a family with good luck with cars. But all of us with our GM/Ford cars have been very reliable even better than some of our neighbors foreign cars. I think Buick is differently going in the right direction. I'm 32 and I like the Buick line up and have test drove the Regal and LaCrosse. If i had the money to buy a brand new one I would.

misterjgl I'm 33 and I drove both the Regal Turbo (as a rental for 10 days) and 2nd gen LaCrosse (own it currently). Despite being neighbors in Buick sedan lineup, these are two very different vehicles in their nature. 2015 Regal Turbo (being German Opel Insignia in fact) is more like a "budgetary" German sport sedan (despite even being FWD, unlike "real" German sport sedans from MB/BMW/Audi trio) - Regal feels sharp, "wild" and "savage" with its sporty steering and approx 6 sec 0-60 mph because of its almost 300 lb*ft turbo torque. However, the LaCrosse is "tamed" and much more like "domestic animal" in contrast with its softer ride and "American" easy steering (especially, so does my older 2010 2nd gen LaCrosse CXL FWD with 3.0 V6, which does 0-60 mph in 8 sec, which is really just average, but no really fast of course).

New Lacrosse is worse, much stiffer ride without being more fun to drive, fake "sporty". Supid decision from GM, no one looking for something really sporty would buy this anyways, so why make it less comfortable when the handling was already that good? If you want an improved Lacrosse take a look at the Cadillac XTS, it's exactly that. Used they are both bargains.

Knowing someone who owned it for 8 years- it has a great presence and looks but the blind spots and mirrors are atrocious and a safety hazard. If i had to pick between acura, infiniti etc... or buick , my main concern would be the mechanical build quality of this car after the warranty is over , every car is great when its new , but the real test comes after 10years plus 100k , my parents old 1999 Acura EL made it to 300K WITHOUT ANY Problems literally !!!. I like american cars , but hard to trust the quality , specially when your buying a car to drive it to the ground ( plan on owning for 15-20 years until it totally falls apart)

Slickpete83 No info for 10 years for these LaCrosses obviously, since 2nd gen LaCrosse is on the market only since 2010 model year, but all I can say personally regarding the subject of long-term reliability is that I own a 5+ years old 2010 LaCrosse CXL FWD 3.0 V6 for several months; I bought it in certified pre-owned status at official GM dealer with GM full (like-new) warranty for the next 3 years - till the vehicle turns 8 years old; it currently has more than 61000 miles (around 99000 kilometers) on its odometer, and the vehicle has zero issues currently - it drives like new, looks almost like new (no body/paint deterioration so far), and everything, including all the electrics and electronics such as sunroof with shade, is working as it should. So, no complaints so far. Besides, I should say, this is in Canada, it's a LaCrosse unit made for Canada (with speedometer in kmph, not in mph), so it was probably driven by its previous owner through harsh and messy Canadian Ontario winters with salt on the road (so I did last winter, at least). So, not bad so far, really, I would say. Now I'm wondering if taking the extended 3 year full warranty was really needed, since nothing breaks so far :) But, probably, it'll start to break in the future inevitably, even with the proper maintenance - nothing is "eternal" in the world of cars these days, I guess.

I own a 2002 Buick lesabre and the engine runs great after 250k miles. As long as you take care of the engine and change the oil, pretty much any engine will last. However, I had to get a paint job because the paint was peeling. I'm having suspension issues. The car is showing its age for sure, but mechanically it's pretty good

This was a great car. Nearly perfect balance between ride comfort and handling. But then GM did it again and completely messed up the successsor. The current model is much stiffer and not nearly as comfortable. Why try to make this type of car more "sporty" and stiff when its handling was already that good? Stupid. At least the Cadillac XTS with this chassis + magnetic ride and Chevrolet Impala are still around. And this Lacrosse is one of the best used car bargains, it's incredible how cheap you can get them, insane value. Maybe Buick will get some new customers from young people buying these cars for cheap and staying with the brand.

Exactly, i purchased a 2015 laccrose with 13000 miles 6 months ago with an original 49000 sticker. I payed 20000 and the car has every tech option including smart cruise control and vibrating seat. This car is an engineering marvel. Have never owned a Buick before but will now consider a Buick for my next purchase. My Lacrosse is so quiet amd its ride is as good as any Mercedes i have ever ridden in. It actually reduces my stress when i sit in jt. Plus it has an 11 speaker Bose system that allows me to crank the tunes loud and proud. Savagegeese and Alex from Alex Autos.are the onky reviewers who understand what an absolute gem this car is. Cant believe more car people do not fully understand what a homerun Buick has with this car.

I really like this car. Probably one of the few times I would segue from a Japanese car to this Buick. Definitely not German....overhyped money pits.

Have you not ever heard of the Buick GS? That was the hot Buick back in in the 60's😆 Not all buicks were rolling beds.😂

If you all only knew half of the brain power of Turbowski. You have to listen close to his comments close as he ain’t dolling them out for free. This man invented the turbo charger that 30 percent of your cars have.Now you figured it out with the last name huh.

Covering it up, looks like a Chevy trying to copy Euros. Same as their Malibu, big ass, big front end, interior from the 90s, GM makes sedans as if they are trying to scream in your ear, don't buy our sedans.

German is the key word. This car is basically an Opel Insignia, re-badged for old, American, white guys with money.

Wrong. The Regal, not the LaCrosse, is based on the Opel Insignia. Completely different cars.

So you call yourself a car expert, and you test a buick lacrosse as if it was a BMW m3? who drives a car like that at that speed? Yes, I wasted time watching your video. This car is great! Made by GM. I am 24 and I love it,I have one. If you are so slow minded to not be able to operate a few buttons, then go and get a horse. You people complain of all, but do nothing but talk. The great buick new work is done and took a lot of work .

your last sentence...well your whole message is confusing. there is NO way a 24 year old drives this car unless they got is for FREE. I am in no way a car snob yet Buick is terrible and GM should have kept Pontiac and Oldsmobile
