I own a 2015 "R" and at the age of 75 this thing makes getting outta bed a joy. Every time I drive mine it puts a Sh*t eating grin on my face, just like in the video. I love the drop dead looks, the sound of the machine gun exhaust and drop the hammer and that smile just fills my face. From the time the dealer started the the Jag, it just "talked to me". I've have had 5 Corvettes and none of them could touch the Jag. I plan to keep this car until they take my keys away, out of my dead hand. Right on review.

Hi mate, I am looking to get one in Australia, how is yournexperience going with your Jag, have you had any major issues? Watching this video that corrosion under the car looks concerning. Where I live it's mainly sunny and dry and only wet over winter, no snow, might be better suited in a dryer climate vs say UK. I've heard injectors sometimes need to be replaced? I want to buy say a 2016 model with about 60,000km so I can afford it and also want the louder exhaust as well as the original headlight design, which gives it a timeless vintage James Bond sports car look....other than potential issues I've heard about the car, im obsessed with getting one in black, took one for a test drive the other day and its just a mosnter

I bought my 2015 R six months ago. I'd say to you, jump in the water is fine. 6 months later it's still a great time, everytime I drive it. Picked mine up for 42k with 29k miles. I believe since then the price has increased 5 to 7% in line with the used car market as a whole during the Covid debacle. But seriously, even with that slight price increase, I think it's a steal. The thing was 115K new. I get so many compliments it's amazing and I live in Los Angeles amongst McLarens and Ferraris. Anyway, like I've said, I've had it for 6 months and I still watch this video at least once a month. Last note, I turn off the traction control and slide like I'm on the midget car circuit. Good job reviewing the most outrageously fun car of all time. The 2015 R weighs 3607 lbs, less than a 2016 V6. The 15R is also ferociously faster than an AWD SVR due to its 25% higher WHP to weight ratio.

As an Ex 2015 R owner: I fucking love this car, will definitely buy another one in a few years. Switch wheels and tires to SVR spec, and add PS4S (265F, 305R) and it will be a canyon carver and a great daily driver. Just won’t be your track car. Also the seats are awesome for less than 2 hours.. after that they start wearing you down. Try to get one with the fixed glass roof, its effective in making it airy. I’d pick one up for 45K and save another 10 for the wheel-tire & paint protection. Warming up the engine properly = reliability 👍🏼

Very well done video, and I'm glad you guys mentioned that it's not intended for the track. Its weight -somewhere between 3600 and 3900lbs - rules out fast lap times. Virtually everyone agrees that on-track, it'll lose out to more serious performance cars such as BMW M's and Porsches, yet it's really apples and oranges to compare them. It's a beautiful GT car in the literal sense, made for cruising, car meets, or day trips. Ask people which of the three is the most beautiful and suddenly lap times don't matter.

It really is a great car. A buddy of mine rented one on Turo, and let me have a go. It's not a car I would have ever picked, but I was shocked how good it was. The engine note is right up there with my E92 M3. The steering feel and feedback is pretty darn close too. It went from a car I dismissed, to a car I would buy.

It isn't as bad as all that. The drivetrain is not especially exotic, and Jag's traditional electrical problems were largely banished in the Ford years. I'd worry more about the crappy interior bits and pieces breaking than anything major happening.

My friend has an F-Type V6S. It is a fantastic car. He tracks, autocrosses, and extreme street drives it. I have driven it several times and it is such a beast. The comment you made about "You wouldn't track this car" couldn't be further from the truth. While being a heavy GT car, they handle exceptionally well. His best friend owns a GT350 and they are always back and forth on their lap times.

Amazing car, I remember getting the awesome opportunity to ride in a 2016 F-Type R coupe during the 2016 Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix. They had two of these as pace cars and the race manager was amazing and let me ride with the driver for a hot lap leading the 2-liter+ class (911/BMW 2002 etc) to the green flag. Driver turned off traction control and we got to do similar acceleration to this around Pittsburgh’s Schenley park 😂
