It made me very depressed and sad. But I am getting over it. I would never buy a Serval again. I bought her as a HPf1 and it turn to a Serval. I gave her my heart and took really good care of her. Are servals difficult house pets?
@Zeebaandsweetie Жыл бұрын
Hi Milokitty, I do not recommend a Serval for pet. My Dolce pass way from a heart problem. I love her so so much. I bought her as a HPF1 and she was a Serval. Be very careful w breeders. Principally w the ones out of the country. Serval pee everywhere after one year old. Even if u fix they will pee everywhere. Breeders will may lie to u that not. Also they normally like just one person. They are not a good pet for kids principally if they have their nails. Their food is very expensive. Also they are prohibited in many states of America. Also prohibited in some countries too. Read a lot about before get any kind pet. I have now a real HPF1 and one f1 . Even the HPf1 still a little wild. Savannah cats should not be adopted by someone that has no experience w cats before. Serval than no way for someone who doesn’t know a lot about them. This cats are way more work than a normal cat. U can not just travel for 3 days and leave some food and water. U need someone who can go to your house every day to give them fresh raw meat. They are also very expensive. Not like another cats. A f1 is between 16k to 20k. A HPf1 is about 25k.

They both are F1. None of them is 100% serval. One is F1 B1 ( Serval cross with a Savannah F1) with 90% serval. And the other one is a regular Savannah F1 ( serval cross with house cat) 50% to 60% serval. Look at the ear of them two. Serval ear are long and rounded. Savannah ear is long and pointy.

How much and where do you get these cats from
@Zeebaandsweetie2 жыл бұрын
David, To tell the true this kind cats are very beautiful but they are a lot of work. They are also very spensive to buy and to maintain. People who would sell u them will not tell u the true about the bad behavior like spray your walls even after they get fixed. My female one pee all my home. She pee on my cats water too. They eat special food like real chicken and baby chicken that is very expensive and not easy to buy. They also have a lot of energy and can distroy your furnitures. They live about 27 years or more. It is a big responsibility to get this kind cats. They are not lap cats. They do not like to be touch all the time like a normal cat. Also if u are not luck and u get one w a bad personality will not be easy to rehome the cat.

@@Zeebaandsweetie Both of them, or only the serval? I've had 2 Savannahs, and 8 y/o F1 and a F2 that just past away after 18 years. Both males (and fixed). I've had zero issues, other than the F1 will chew my comforter on the bed when he wants something (food), or if I leave for a long time. The F2 was a 100% model citizen. Zero issues with either regarding spraying around the house. Maybe I just lucky.
