I believe Queen Mara is the only recorded person to be able to wish without her words being twisted so it’s a good thing she’ll be helping us

To be fair, even that is a massive question. The Dreaming City ain't too hot right now, and it was always incredibly dangerous. Elusiana isn't doing too well either. More like she was the only one to get screwed over only slightly and mostly indirectly.

Telic II says something about why Mara Sov hasn't fallen victim to Ahamkara wish magic. The simplest way to describe it is there is very little division, if any at all, between what her reality is and what she desires. There are no gaps between the two within Mara that an Ahamkara could exploit. In the same sense, the Wall of Wishes uses visual language so there are "very few spaces between its words" to safely make wishes to Riven. Any wish we make to enter the Traveler will have to be precise, with no loopholes to exploit. We will, since we do get into the Traveler. The question for next season will be "what wish" and "how".

@@floppydisksareop Eleusinia was taken&shattered by Oryx himself, not by Ahamkara. The Dreaming City was fine and perfectly safe while queen Mara was around and kept Riven under control. The Wish Wall she built allowed her to issue very direct commands to Riven, commands that coudn't be misinterpreted. The curse was the the result of us, guardians, wishing for Riven's death - it was our own wish that was twisted into a curse.

We are definitely getting an Ahamkara Season next. It is solidifying into the theme of the year: three of the four Seasons centering around Worms and Ahamkara, who share the same power. Like this is the year we learn the nature of the various paracausal powers in Destiny.

I would really like another ahamkara season, but they've been theming around the vendors from the missing planets re-entering the story. Season 19 was Ana Bray, Season 20 saw the return of Asher Mir, Season 21 had Sloane. I think season 23 might involve Brother Vance, and according to the lore books he locked himself inside the infinite forest when the pyramids showed up and went violently insane almost immediately. So that would be interesting.

That's what I'm worried about if Mara is also involved next season. We want to stop the Final Shape, but we also desire to stop the curse in the Dreaming City. And we also desire keeping things like gaining loot by endlessly fighting the curse. We want to save the universe and break the curse but we want to keep getting new weapons and armors. Our wishes could backfired again

We want to stop the Witness, but we also have another wishes like the curse We have to be careful with our desires. As Eris says 'our wants are tangled and contradictory'. Savathûn and Riven took advantage of our collective wish to save the Dreaming City and they twisted it into a curse. Now we are talking about making another wish with Savathûn accompanying us

Our wishes can easily backfire, but not queen Mara's. She's been dealing with Ahamkara for centuries and built the Wish Wall so she could safely make wishes that couldn't be misinterpreted and twisted.

I bet next season will revolve around creating the perfect way to wish for getting through the portal without the wish backfiring on us. Maybe making a wishing wall of our own, with the help of Mara, so our wish cannot be twisted into something else.

I wonder if we will ever get a connection back to the mysterious grey building on Venus or if this has to also play in with Osiris and The Nine? Or... The Five Lives Of Albios..? (all of these connect to ahamkara with many facts pointing to direct correlation) Location wise Venus or Europa? Enceladus finally getting a retconned purpose?

I get the feeling that they won't hard retcon Enceladus. Instead, they'll make it another Clovis facility, maybe even another exo prduction facility, to a minor scale, just not the deep stone crypt. It would be perfect for an episode dealing with Clovis, since he's still a loose thread left to tie.

It's not luck, it's knowledge. Wishes can be used safely if you know how to do it. Queen Mara built the Wish Wall to make wishes that couldn't be misinterpreted and twisted by Ahamkara, and Eris is making wishes to dead Ahamkara which are less powerful but also easier to keep under control.

@@scribejay Eris still uses wish-magic but there are no living Ahamakra around - she has a bone inside her magical crystal. We too benefit from wish-magic that comes from Ahamkara bones in various items.

@@t7tempest333 Lore piece set during the Great Ahamkara Hunt with Eris and Ikora. Eris mentions that one of the Ahamkara they were killing gave her her pre-Guardian memories. This would be followed up by Eris repeatedly contacting Asher Mir, reaching out to him with the memories of their time together before their respective first deaths as the two are cousins, memories Asher obviously doesn't have. And no, I don't know how it works out that they're cousins with Asher being Awoken and Eris being human (Petra called Eris human back during Season of the Lost). Had to guess, familial but not biological cousins. And you know, it only now occurs to me that it hasn't been confirmed if she's been carrying said Ahamkara's bone this whole time and in fact the same dragon cast both wishes.

They got rolled by Oryx blud. They lived with the civilization that had the Gift Mast, a huge pillar of light that stabilized a black hole. The Ahamkara empowered the leaders of that civilization with their wish magic and when Oryx destroyed it were forced to flee. They ended up in Sol and got near exterminated by assorted Guardians. The last surviving one was Taken and then killed. All feats exclude them from comparing to the Hive gods.
