Get a job with an airline (even part time), that is the cheapest way to travel. Any job with an airline comes with free standby travel benefits. You can travel anywhere in the world even in business class for virtually nothing. Also, it's actually not smart to buy tickets from third party websites. If you buy a ticket from Skyscanner, Orbitz or whatnot, if there are issues with your flight, the airline will NOT help you because your ticket is held by the third party company, not the airline. It will be up to the third party company to find you accommodations and assistance (good luck with that).

Yeah, been there when I went to Cali a few years back. The hassle, the time, and frustration was not worth the $160 I saved with the third party.

I did the Delta ticket change hack just now after watching the video, got $100 in credit!
@observer6988 ай бұрын
I didn't get the hack. She said get another ticket from the same flight? and then what? ask for a return from the other one, cancel it?
@whimsical_flower8 ай бұрын
@@observer698 if your flight is cheaper now than when you bought it, you can either cancel and take the credit and rebook or “change flight” to another one that is the same price as the new proce, so you get the credit. Then “change flight” back to the original flight. That’s the method I did, even chose my same seat because it only takes minutes. Hope that makes sense.

I love her and I love her channel and advice, however, when I was 25 my dream was to travel. I had never been anywhere and just landed my first teaching job. An older retired teacher told me to put my trip on my credit card. He said, if you don’t do it, you’ll probably never go anywhere. I’m so grateful for that advice. When I save for a trip. I save some money in advance and I put the rest of it on my credit card and then I pay it off within six months often times even less than that. if you try to save enough for an entire trip, something will always come up and you’ll probably never go.

Just came back from Hawaii. Hotel and flights were free (but have to pay taxes and resort fees) using credit card points. Can't complain tho, hotels and flights would have been over $5700. I only pay a few hundred.

Did an air france discounted upgrade at check-in from economy to premium economy; the seats were noticeably wider but not much else. Food was the same although someone said that they might upgrade it. Anyways, I got priority boarding and increased luggage allowance all the way to my final destination despite only upgrading one segment. If you need a wider seat, more bags or priority security/boarding than it might be worth it.
@beetothebop1236 ай бұрын
I think premium economy is worth it when it comes to long trips, when I flew to Europe for a month it made sure my luggage had a priority tag and got where it needed to go, and having the option to board first or last is very helpful. I had to check in a bag so I appreciated not having to worry about it getting lost. That should come with any ticket, but unfortunately that's not the world we live in lol.

I am studying abroad in France and trying to plan a trip for my grandparents to come out and do about a 2 week loop starting from Lyon, visiting the south of France, Italian riviera and the Alps. I am trying to book hotels with points I have been saving up for this. My grandparents are so excited and my Nana said she always wanted to visit Europe and thought they never would get the chance. Unfortunately the flights for end of June are insane, and they of course are not comfortable with multiple layovers as they do not fly often, so flights with 1 stop or less are even worse. I am trying to plan everything but it is adding up quickly.

The part of traveling that is too costly are the hotels. I’m tired of spending $500 on flights, $500 on food and fun, but $1000 on a hotel. I’m starting to wonder if I should look into seedy motels for a bargain. I agree about Airbnb, not worth it.

Try a loyalty hotel credit card. I got IHG $100 annual fee and get one free night as well as $100 United Credit in $50 installment every 6 months and a 175k point bonus that I mostly blew on the so-so 4 star in Montreal lol.

I’m curious about the tip “do not get an Airbnb” because I always get called out by my friends for getting a hotel instead. Personally, I just prefer a hotel stay and the service, but my friends often tell me I’m “wasting money” by not choosing an airbnb option. Can anyone help me out by explaining this one?
@applefarm61268 ай бұрын
It's subjective, but I've heard bad things about Air B&B if a hotel works for you, use it. Don't let people try to peer pressure you into doing something you don't like.
@amandah18758 ай бұрын
Airbnb used to be cheaper, now it can cost more than hotel.
@GirlMaketheMove7 ай бұрын
It’s really about preference and how you want to travel. I love the feeling of being in a home and having full access to a kitchen with AIRBNBS.
@beetothebop1236 ай бұрын
They're probably comparing the hotel rate to the rate Air Bnb shows when looking through their availabilities, but once you go to check out they add a million fees. These days, unless you're staying somewhere for a while it's almost always cheaper to get a hotel, and you don't have to clean even though you already paid a cleaning fee
